In the September issue of Deer & Deer Hunting I have the feature kill related article on bow hunting during midday and it's titled "High Noon Whitetails and in my biased opinion, if you're hunting in a pressured area, you might want to check it out. Of my 31 Michigan book bucks, 20 were taken between Nov. 1 and 14 and of them 7 were taken between 11 am and 3 pm. That's about a 35% kill rate on midday hunts while less than 8% of my time spent in the saddle during that time frame was from 11 to 3. The article explains the scenarios for midday hunting.
