Every bolt on every bow I've ever owned has rusted after a season in the woods. My hickory creek is no exception.Does anyone have thoughts on these bolts showing the beginning of what looks like rust?

Keep those limbs far away from the tree trunk. Thwack!!!Not to be against the kool aid, but I just cannot see ever using this.
Before my shoulder arthritis, I shot vertical, paper tuned, bare shaft tuned, tuned field points to broad heads, spent numerous hours getting everything just right. 3D shooting every weekend through the summer. And it was fun for me. Definitely more involved in the mystical flight of the arrow.
When I moved to crossbow (due to physical limitations), I put it on a rest, used a roller rope cocker, zero it at 20 and determine the yardages of the lower dots. Then take a few shots with broad head to confirm they shoot the same as field points. Then practice whenever the spirit moved me. And live with the downsides of the crossbow (harder to reload, cumbersome) and gain the upsides (shoot right or left handed so no weak side shots).
As much as I would like to have this hybrid and have tried to talk myself into it, it just seems to be too problematic for any of the perceived benefits it provides.
And for those of you who enjoy this, rock on fellow hunters! I’ll celebrate your successes with the hickory creek. And still get out with my crossbow.

I guess my ole man has finally decided to hunt again! Not saying he’s getting a hickory creek mini but he’s interested in hunted and that’s all that matters to me.

I never did that. I always shoot at a different spot because of other pictures I have seen like this. Thanks. My father's quite happy with his...He took it out after packing up to VT from florida for the first time yesterday. Shot number 2 @ 35yrds...
Yeah these things suck and aren't at all accurate.

My father popped the string of the bow. Can someone do me the favor of posting close up pics of the cams. I know the string goes on the outside of the came, but we're unsure of how the other string attaches on the cam. I've never placed a string on a bow, so this is new to me. He loved it by the way... I'm hoping I get him into bow hunting.

If you call Victory they will help you figure it out. I have talked to a factory rep and they are very helpful.I bought a dozen Victory Decimator arrows last year when they were on sale. The spiniest arrows they had were 350 so I bought them. The victory arrows that came with my HC mini are 300 spine. I used the spine calculator on the Victory site. and since I turned my HC limb bolts out 2 turns I estimated a draw weight of 125. I previously measured the speed at 295 FPS using a chronograph. At 23 inches the Victory calculator suggests 350 spine so I guess I am GTG with the way my bow is set. I just have to cut the arrows to 23 inches and glue in the inserts. What glue is good? Will these arrows fly right at 350 spine?
