Thought it would be a good idea to start a thread where us MN hunters can talk about what's going on with our season (starts on Saturday!) and share our experiences/tactics.

Who else is ready for sunrise Saturday morning?!

Man I cant wait to be in a tree again. All this practice and scouting has me itching to get out again. Saturday morning I might try to slip in to some of the private land I have permission on but I am really excited about my evening hunt on public. As long as the wind does what it is supposed to that is....

Friday night I might be able to do an observation sit to get a more solid game plan for Saturday evening. Saturday morning hoping to sneak into a spot where I shoot a doe every year.

Day two of the longest work week of the year. I'll be hitting a public spot in the south metro somewhere on Saturday morning. This forecasted SE wind is throwing me for a bit of a loop, but I'll figure it out. Can't wait!

The only thing keeping me motivated to finish this whole week of work. Should be a fun one!

I have the first 9 days of the season off work. I am really pumped. Usually I have a work conference to go to the first week of the archery season but it got cancelled because of COVID. I guess that is o e good thing from this pandemic.

I plan to work through a bunch of different public areas as I can in those 9 days.

One other exciting thing is that my JX3 is shown as "out for delivery" on the UPS tracking! I don't think I would have it in time for the opener.

im stoked for saturday, i got a bit more to do before im fully ready prep wise anyways, but i got tomorrow off so ill get it all done then.

It almost feels like when i was a kid, and it was Dec 22, and you know you just have to wait out those last few days, but the excitement is all you can think about

Anybody else having some issues with this forecasted SE wind? I set most of my spots for W and N winds. Not that I can't move a few trees over, but it's still a curveball.

Have fun out there guys! I'll be out all next weekend on all day sits so I'm a weekend behind but I'm getting very excited. Hoping to get some target practice in from the saddle Sunday at my buddies place to make sure my sight and me are dialed in.

Whats all this morning talk? Hahahaha. Cant wait to hit the woods. I got drawn for a special permit hunt for 180 acres of public land special reserve that they haven't allowed hunters in years. Cant wait. Its Archery only for the entire year and only 8 hunters got drawn. Cant wait for a sanctuary during gun season.
