I sat in my dads summit viper for two weeks ago and boy...had me second guessing my life choices—that thing is comfortable!
I can’t bow hunt out of a stand without Redman chewing tobacco.
It’s the only time all year I chew.
Have been doing this for 40 years.
Don’t tell anybody
Same for me but Cope LC.
Don’t do it any time but deer season...
Smell of cope is now associated with autumn leaves, northwest winds, and soft hoofsteps at dusk.
For me it's been almost 20, but feel the same.I haven’t had a dip in 6 years, but that right there is making me sad. Can’t do it. Once I start, it’s on.

It's not that I didn't love the comfort my Summit Viper provided because it was super comfy but it was the fact it limited the trees I could use it on and and was both heavy and noisy.
Yeah I'll be honest I was looking at at a Summit climber recently. If I see a good deal on one I may add it to the arsenal. I tried a hand climber (XOP) and I could not get comfortable climbing with it and it wasn't very comfortable to sit in. If I'm not comfortable and fidgiting I'm not going to sit very long compared to something I could relax and take a nap in. That's how I feel about my saddle sometimes. A climber is like 20-25lbs but it's a climbing system and platform in one. Just tether in to the tree as you go up and down and you're pretty safe. You're limited on trees you can use but the same can also be said about saddles. Most people aren't maneuving around branches. They're climbing mostly straight limbless trees. But maybe I'm wrong. People still drop big deer out of their climbers just like guys kill them sitting on a five gallon bucket. They're not as sexy as saddles but for an all day sit I think people would be lying if they said they'd choose a tree diaper over a comfy climber. Honestly half the time I'd rather just pack a stool and sit on the ground. Cheap and I won't break a sweat climbing a tree in the dark.
Also I've never dipped but I've been tempted to pick up some Red Man and try one hunt. I'd be afraid it'd turn into a bad habit though.
I won't tell the "Furher" heil Cuomo anything except..... you better duck!!!@woodsdog2 it was the Lakewood wegmans as well. Don't tell cuomo I broke his rules
I've used these for years, I have two of them. They are super comfortable and super safe. I've not used them in a while though because I like carrying a saddle and a stick around way better but they are nice. The best thing is to leave them on a tree in a good funnel and lock it up. Wrap or tape some water repellent material around the foam and seat once you bunch it back up and it makes life easier. Just put a lock on it if you're worried about theft and camo it up with some branches and what not.I’m sitting in my father in laws brand new summit viper climber for the first time ever and not ashamed to say I love it!

When I used to hunt out of one more I would climb limbless trees but get 20 feet up and with a decent backdrop (hemlock, pines, oakes or beech with leaves still on or bigger trees breaking up your form you won't get busted. I have not tried a JX3 but I have the original treesuits and they are comfortable.y'all climber guys - curious if you've tried out a JX3.
And are most people actually climbing limbless trees? I feel absolutely naked in them...unless I climb up above the first branching.
