You are correct. I just wanted to not spend the $ last year and still get my feet wet in the saddle game. Glad I did, but my bank account has suffered! At that point, just bring top half as well.

sir,
I have 14 summit vipers. Making the change to the hybrid because of my age and the distance some of my trees are from my truck. I priimarily hunt the Ouachita mtns in Arkansas which are steep and rugged. At 71 I still climb and hunt the mtns.
Using climbing sticks are not for me. I can carry the platform and hide it close to where I hunt. Instead of carrying my badlands superday pack, I can use the hybrid as a pack and stand.
When I posted the above I just wanted to know if anyone else has done it.
Thats what i have for yrs. Hiding them close to where i was going to climb. Dont go to them until conditions are right. Pull them out during gun season. Carrying them is no problem just trying to avoid excessive wear and tear on my joints. Only deer I dont quarter is ones killed very close to home.I would preset/hide all of those vipers and have an easy walk into the mountains. You would loose the whole “360” thing but I think it would be worth it to not have to carry a climbing method and/or platform. I would be willing to help you preset/carry stands in at some point if you would like as I hunt the Big Piney RD of the Ozf-NF exclusively.
