I'm looking for opinions on the lightest, easiest packable, most durable sticks out there. Let me hear some thoughts guys and gals. Thanks

Shikar mini is the most packable, best single stick climbing on the market. Just one mans opinion, also if using multiple sticks probably ignore me.

i am talking multiple sticks but thank you

17in OOAL FXDs are pretty slick. I like them because they pack up really nice, are on the lighter side of most sticks and grab the tree extremely well.

Hunting Beast sticks are heavier, but are a machining marvel. Bite on the tree really well, too.

i one stick with EWO and their standoffs get the slight edge over OOAL standoffs.

Which one would you choose out of these two? These are the two that I'm trying to decide between.

I don’t think you can go wrong with either…long story short, I had beasts and sold them…after trying a couple other brands, I regretted it and ended up with EWO because I could actually get my hands on some! But now, I just ordered more beast sticks. I’ll have both in my possession soon and can refresh my memory on pros and cons of both. Ill get back to you then! I should also add, I assembled my own EWO using their components.

I like the tethrd ones the best. You can leave a whole stack one one hip and easily take them apart with one hand as you ascend the tree. Also stupid light and pack wonderfully

You really can’t go wrong with either brand. I went with Beast mini’s because they pack slightly better. Beast sticks stack perfectly on top of each other without axial offset. The EWO sticks stack with axial offset, and have bigger standoffs. (But they do give you more foot room from the tree due to the bigger standoffs.) So it depends on what’s more important to you.

Hey just throwing out the Novix Mini doubles steps. If you wanna save some money that is! I’m sure Shikars, EWO’s, beast sticks are maybe slightly lighter and better but for almost half the price I really like them. To add too your confusion I love the Novix but cannot stand the thought of not having tried at least the beast sticks.

i'm waiting to see if tethrd puts a 1/8" high strength stainless bolt where that roll pin is and use some better glue, then i'll buy 4 of them

Another problem I have with the Tethrd sticks is the warranty. I’ve heard it’s a 1 year warranty and to me that alone says I’ll pass. If I’m wrong please let me know!

Earnie wrote me in April that they were working on something "to remove the play in sticks that the glue popped on. It's a great solution we just are working on implementation"

It's crickets as far as I know.

So you like the way the Beasts stack? I heard it's a big profile. True or not? Thanks

Yes. I was told standard warranty would apply (https://saddlehunter.com/community/index.php?threads/tethrd-one-climbing-sticks.37414/).

Standard warranty is "we’ll cover defects for 1 year from the date of purchase."

I ended up waiting for Tethrd to plug the holes, and it never happened for me so I don't own the sticks. Some really good concepts there, but its hard to overlook what's becoming their company narrative. But hey, they sold out, great salespeople.

Their new sticks will go like hot cakes, and look to be more problem free....as most concepts have been cobbled from numerous sticks that have seen extensive time afield, with a few smart Tethed touches to improve ergonomics and efficiency. Could be worth waiting on? lol.
