Latitude Classic 2!!!!!!

Well i got the method 2 and so far so good, just ordered the classic 2 for my wife ( and my backup) so hopefully she likes it. Besides the quality of the product i deal with these people because of their top notch customer service and excellent communication i wish more companies in the industry were like this

Been hunting with a Tethrd Mantis for a couple of years now. Nice saddle, no complaints. Well built. Wanted a second saddle but not a double panel one, even though I am intrigued and will likely eventually get one. Lots of great saddles on the market: TX5, H2, Cruzer, Tethrd, Aerohunter, and others. But Latitude caught my interest and their saddles are getting good reviews so I took a chance and went with the Latitude Classic 2 single panel saddle. I’m impressed with the design, the quality, and the comfort of this thing. I couldn’t be more pleased.

I like a lot about this, but can't keep my rope belt tight enough not to sag my saddle without tying another stopper knot closer to the buckle knot.
I'm considering pulling rope out and threading some 1in webbing through and adding a cobra buckle. I'm hesitant to give up on the buckless rope belt. Anyone have suggestions?

Pull the crap out the tag end that come out the knot when you have the belt where you want it. That's what worked for me

I bought a used first gen Method from another member here. It didn’t come with the waist belt or rope and I needed to make my own.
So I reached out to @kmleach and he was great and told me eggzactly what knot they use for the waist rope but I’m too dumb to figure out the video and tie it so I used a Blake’s Hitch and it stays right where I want it. That’s even using HTP which is actually too dang stiff to get that knot twisted in to but I wrastled it in there anyways. ;)

Ps. I love the first gen Method and don’t even need to get the 2nd gen. (but I’m sure I will) lol

I've sat in a couple trees now with the new Classic, and used it for stand "spruce up" chores. I really like this saddle, I think it's close to ideal for my anatomy and needs, and intend for it to be my saddle for the upcoming season. I like the saddle's clean lines, relative simplicity, light weight, the fact that it seems to fit me as well as any saddle I've tried, and that it doesn't have any single feature that I truly dislike.

FWIW, I'm an 18 year saddle veteran. Have owned 8-9 saddles and tried a few more, and can find something to nitpick about with every one of them, the new Classic included. Hunted most of last season with the Cruzr XC, and I like the Classic II better. Have owned and tried hunting from two different 2-panels (Method, Recon) and tried a third, before becoming convinced they just don't work well for me; too much fiddling and I just couldn't get comfortable.

Hunting saddles are just plain highly individualized products, and what one guy finds perfect may put another guy in misery. It's good to try more than one of them if you can.

I got a classic 2 on the way. I would be happy using the original classic for the rest of my life. I had a few nitpicks and suggestions about it that I discussed with kmleach , and they seem to have addressed them along with other changes. I’m excited to try it.

Never tried the original Classic for comparison, but I don’t think you’ll be disappointed with the 2.0. I’m very pleased with mine. The thought and attention to detail where it matters is very apparent in this design.

Finally gave the fishing and Rod building a break and got to put some time in the classic 2. The changes they made has helped but other changes I don’t like.
The adjustable bridge is still to short. Just 2 more inches!
Leg loops buckle upgrade are a great upgrade but still not perfect. The loop material is too soft and you can’t just snap it on the loop without holding the flapper open. And that will be harder once gloves are in use. A stiffer loop will make it easier. I’m thinking of just taking the leg straps off.
The larger size saddle is perfect.
The rope belt works great but is not comfortable while sitting. I loosen it while hunting but just the stiffness of the rope digs into the back of my hip after a while. A strap works better for spreading the load. I’d rather have a strap and buckle belt like the original.
It’s still my favorite saddle to date.

I've got 30 hours hunting in mine so far this year with an average of 4.5 hours per sit (3 hours on low end, 6 hours on high end). The adjustable bridge is somewhat of a a PITA but otherwise has been very comfortable. I tend to wear my upper panel more like a kidney belt and "sit" in the lower panel. One thing I did notice is that I'm more of a leaner than a sitter. While practicing this summer, sitting was my preferred method. I'll stitch off for the first 1-2 hours but afterwards will almost exclusively lean.

Edit: Just realized this was a Classic thread, not a Method thread. Foniks and komprehenshon is hard sometimes...

Larger saddle? Are they offering different sizes now? The classic and classic 2 I have are identical in dimension.

After some time in the classic 2 I have drawn some conclusions also…

The leg loops aren’t perfect but the are a lot better. The ones on the first classic were god awful to put on and take off.

The bridge I felt was plenty long enough but I like the old bridge a lot better. The Amsteel really binds and is hell to break free.

I really like the new color scheme.

The new rope belt I am not so sure about. I don’t know what saddle sag is. I have never experienced it. Seems it’s just a way to save money by not using buckles but yet it is $30 more expensive than the regular classic.

Problem that was carried over and made worse on the classic 2 is the linemans loops are huge. They need redesign… the molle loops dont come far enough to the front of the saddle. Then this mysterious molle loop they added in front of the lineman’s loops for some reason makes it even worse. You gotta reach what feels like almost to your butt crack to reach your dump pouch. Then if you use your lineman’s loops that molle loop in front becomes useless anyway.

Its still one of the more comfortable saddles on the market.

I agree on that front Molle loop. I don’t have a use for it. Maybe some one does. I have a loop of paracord on the molle right after the lineman loops to hang a stick on each hip to climb. And that molle loop is too far back. The lineman loops can be shortened.
I thought they made the classic 2 larger. It feels larger. I’ll have to put them side by side.

I receive my classic 2 tomorrow. Is there not enough space to hang a stick on that first molle loop with kydex a clip? I imagined if you got a longer piece of paracord the stick would hang below your lineman loops/lineman belt

Not if you use a lineman’s belt. You won’t be able to remove the paracord from the clip. You would have to tie the paracord from the molle loop and a hook on the stick or something.

I've thought about untying the adjustable bend waist belt knot and trying to thread 1in webbing through and add a buckle. Haven't came up with the courage to do so yet.

I just did the opposite on a TX5.
I took out the belt and put in a rope and tied a Blake's Hitch. (I couldn't find a video slow enough for me to follow tying an Adjustable Bend)
