Ok what’s everyone use to grab gear like a hat, quiver maybe a release that’s fell? Instead of just climbing down.

I prefer to one-stick, but I keep a hand ascender with a foot loop in my bag for just that reason...if I drop something, I can just rappel down then SRT back up real quick.
I carry a mid sized weighted treble hook with the barbs ground off. I carry it wrapped in a small piece of foam in plastic container (the foam keeps it from rattling, the container keeps it from snagging me). If I drop something I just attach it to the end of my pull up rope and go fishing. Works great on fabric things (hats, gloves) but I've also hooked and retrieved arrows and releases with it. I just had to retrieve my foam kneepad last night.
I carry a large treble hook tied to about 30’ of mason’s line. I covered the points with a dab of JB weld to dull them.
Haven’t had a need to use it yet as the only thing I’ve dropped was my glasses and I wasn’t about to try to fish those up so I rappelled down and one-stick climbed back up.
I do now carry a Beal Jammy, spare carabiner, and a pre-tied webbing aider so I can SRT back if need be.

For those that like to fish, adding a rare earth magnet to the hook helps with some objects.

I use a 10/0 hook ground down with a rare earth zip tied to the bottom. I have an s-biner on the other end so I can clip it to my rappel line or paracord hoist line. The hook is heat shrinked and doubles as my bow hanger. Been doing it that way for several years.

Ok here is a truly long term solution....I hot glue a strong neodymium small magnet onto my hunting beanies, gloves, figure 8, hitch cords, etc... that my my pull up line which has a magnet on it will easily pick it up.
Left my pack at the base of the tree while climbing up on my last hunt. I was on spurs, so I didn’t want to spike back down. (It’s scary)
Of course my rappelling rope was in the pack… Pulled my bow up and attached my hero clip to the end up my pull up rope and was able to quickly snag my pack. Necessity is the mother of invention…

Just last week I dropped my phone out of my pocket...I just left it for the duration of the hunt and reminded myself how stupid I was to let it happen in the first place...I think if there was an easy way out we may not be as vigilant in not dropping it again...{the old ounce of prevention vs a pound of cure thing}...saying that I am actively looking for a phone tether so that never happens again...I usually have most things tethrd or in case of hats I carry an extra in my pack...
