Where are u guys attaching to your bow? I have always used the top wheel. When I'm lowering back down it seems to always put the nocks in the dirt and quiver side down. I'm tired of that happening and plan on experimenting with different location to hook up the rope to the bow.... Anybody already figured this out

I lay the bow quiver side up and tie a bowline around the lower limbs with my paracord so when I pull the bow up the nock end of the arrows comes up first and doesn't drag or get caught up on ground debris. I lower it the same way and once the top cam touches the ground I can flop the bow over onto whatever side I want it to lay.

I put mine back in its sling, wrap the rope towards the bottom end so it keeps the bow upside down on the way down. That way it keeps the nock s up and the wheel protected buy the sling. If that makes sense.

Check out staggs in wild video he had some good points on how to attatch pull up rope to compound wrapping it around stabilizer going up and reversing going down

Stabawhat?....I don't have 1 of those.....I carry a big giant back support that I pull up and down with my weapon....now I'm wondering if I can attach the bow onto the back support and hook up my Doyle's to the strap on the back support....like a cradle for the bow

Through a hole in the bottom cam and a little loop on the end of the rope is used to girth hitch to my stabilizer. My stabilizer has rubber and metal flared area at the end that keeps this from slipping off. This keeps nocks upward, but I also recently switched to an Alpine quiver that you can adjust to keep the nocks protected by the bottom cam.

Yup, been playing with this for a while now. Seems ok. I clip to bottom cam/wheel to pull up and let down though to keep arrows oriented the way I want them.

I like that this would keep your cams out of the mud or off of rocks.

Yeah I just rigged the backhand to pull double duty as a bow sling if needed. Hadn’t considered using it for pull up, but I’m liking the idea too.

Tied a loop in the end of my figure 8 rope. Run it thru riser hole and loop over stabilizer. I like to raise and lower mine sideways. Keeps cams out of debris,

I use a sling on my bow for the walk in and out. I have a small keychain carabine on my pull up/pull down string that I attach to the sling before I climb. Setting my bow about 6 feet back from the tree before I climb keeps the carabiner from clanking on the bow as I climb and pull it up.

I have that fancy cam and string sling nowadays to protect my strings in those nasty thorn bushes and palmettos we tread through however if I am going to a place with clean trails and back in the day before I had the cam sling, I would just lay the bow with the quiver up, d loop towards the tree. My hoist has a small carabiner on it so I would just hook that to the d loop and pull the bow up like that. It keeps it pretty level and it’s easier to turn my arrow feathers away from branches on the ride up.

Bet that’s an awesome looking sling hahaha

I attach to the d loop.

this makes a lot of sense

at first, it seemed wrong because i inherently baby my string and anything attached to it

does this generally keep the cams and arrows clean/protected and makes the stabilizer take any abuse?

i hate getting my new bow muddy, especially near the cams and string

It keeps the cams clean and the stabilizer barely touches anything furthermore when you are lowering, it keeps your arrows and your cams cleaner than using one of the cams to lower it, in my experience
