That’s just no sticking….. plenty of info on itJust thought of this randomly, is anyone 1 sticking with a tree stand? Like a LWCG or Beast? I know there is a older YouTube video of it, but jus curious if anyone does with a tree stand.
Oh 100% I know, Im just talking about climbing up with a 1stick and hunting from a tree stand, the same way you would with a saddle. Just curiosity. That’s just no sticking….. plenty of info on it

Or a rock climbing harnessNo reason why you can’t but you’d have to wear a saddle to do it. Have to be able to hang from the tree with no steps/stick/platform while you move your stick up and can’t do that with a regular safety harness.
I plan on doing something similar next season but with presets for SRT. Basically SRT up, pull stand off saddle or pack, hang, hunt, pack up, rappel down. The .5 weighs the same as my Mission climbing platform but gives the added option of sitting if needed. Only downfall is the cost for this setup. And I'm not sure it will even see 25% of my total hunts.Oh 100% I know, Im just talking about climbing up with a 1stick and hunting from a tree stand, the same way you would with a saddle. i dont like sticks or ropes
Darn, and I finally thought I was done spending money . . .I don’t think 1 sticking is a fad, but I do think it will tank in popularity very soon .
but not bc it is a fad, but bc saddle hunters are incredibly innovative, and we’ll come up with more awesome ideas.

If I could only part with "stuff". In reality the cost of buying is only slightly worse than the space needed to store my stuff. After all, you know as soon as you sell it it will become the basis for the next best method.don’t worry bro… there is no end to your spending but we are all afflicted with the same weakness, so you know we are all here to buy your old shh for damn near what you paid for it new!

I thought about it as well. The only reason is that I love rappelling way too much, its just to much fun.I plan on doing something similar next season but with presets for SRT. rappeling is hella fun.i rock climed and rappeled the the cliff at skinners butte in eugene when i was 13. but theres alot of fun things i wont do when im hunting.my buddy likes to get falling down drunk.i just feel like theres to much movement.he gets picked off alot falling down at ground levelI thought about it as well. Ill be completely honest if you didn't rappel with 1 sticking I wouldn't of given it the time of day. But its fun and combined with hunting its even more fun.
Shoot ill go climb for "practice" and my wife says your practicing again? Oh yes just so I can rappel
