Ive used paracord and doyles gear hoist in the past. The gear hoist works the best for me but I've been eyeing the hip bow holder from Genisis 3D printing. Anyone use this or anything similar ? Thanks

I use paracord. The hip holder seems like the bow would get in the way, bang off the tree or even worse, my knee, or heel, etc… I would bump it and it would go sailing to the ground.

I am probably the only one using this product because I wear my pack up the tree so everything comes with me at one time and in one movement. It is called the bow spider. I attached it to the middle of my Eberlestock X2 and it is perfect.

I bought several of the pucks and can use them in multiple locations. I have one in the garage for storage, one on my western hunt bag so I can go hands free as we roam around and one on my bino pouch harness in the rear for the same reason.
 
i just do paracord in a loose figure 8 wrap and then stowed in my pack's water bottle side pocket where it feeds out

light, cheap, quiet, and has always worked

i have a doyle's hoist, but i like the paracord better

one thing is once you lower the bow, you can just toss the paracord down and not have to climb down with it....can't do that with a retractable job
 
Simple paracord when I one stick or 2TC, attached to end of rope if I am SRTing. KISS (keep it simple stupid) for me. BUT I recently got some dyneglyde so going to test it out before season, honestly don't know if it make a major improvement.
 
I have the JAKT sling. I tie the tag end of my climbing rope to my backpack and leave it on the ground at the base of the tree. I climb with my bow slung across my back. That way it is not sitting on the ground.
 
I've always used paracord, but I'm experimenting with a 30" retractable leash. Also I can use my pulldown line for my bow and my rappell/1-stick rope for my pack. We'll see what I settle on in the off season.
 
After experimenting for several seasons using figure-8 paracord, or an automatic fly reel, or planning to use a harbor freight dog leash earlier this year, I think they're all overkill now.

I'm just gonna chunk it. Can probably get it stuck on a branch up there before climbing, so I don't have to pull it at all. Lowering it then is also easy.
