LW Hand Climber Mod

It's pretty much because of it (LWHC) that I'm 99% hybrid nowadays. Can't beat a big platform (LWCG .5) for spinning weak side with a camera in one hand and a bow in the other.

If only LWCG would build a small LW Climber specifically for the saddle community

I only know of 4 that broke personally. One didn't even have my " bolt mod " or any mod actually. But it could happen like anything else.

A couple guys on here cut the bottom platforms down and ran them. I think they liked it. That was a couple years ago, at least.

Sean outdoors was a little late on the LWHC/ Saddle Combo, but I did see that too.

I'm sure LWCG will build a mini climber at some point.

Thanks Bud. I will run it as long as it lasts. The split down the middle would be consistent with a fulcrum down the center. Also strapping it and limiting its flexibility would increase the odds of it breaking. I have preset 550 cords where there are limbs buy your idea was the best to come along for me.
To have you tube channel like Sean requires you to create content often so who knows how long he ever used the cut platform.
I used to make frequent trips to Cambridge by Dicorsery Bridge road. May be you know the place.

Yeah just carry another tether in case you gotta walk down if it breaks..

Cambridge..2hrs away, drive through when I hit ocean city up. I'm central MD.
 
Although I am in Cyber Security, I hold a BS in Engineering and did work with metallurgy and gearing. So I was just looking at this thing and I am interested to know judging by design of the investment cast that it would support more weight and mitigate torsion influences if flipped up the other way. I loosened the bolts and turned the arms around to the other side. It comes in at around 46 degrees without using something to space it.
Without testing this is just a hypothesis. Has anyone done this? What was the orientation of the ones that broke? And how did they break? I only saw one picture of a broken one and that was straight down the middle which makes me think it was stood on in the middle with one foot possibly while strapped. Again, just my ideas. I find it hard to understand looking at the design of how it would break.

Glad your wheels are turning, but...

1. That's been done.

2. These have broken when used as a top to climb, as intended. So use outside of intent can certainly result in unintended consequences.

3. The base is dimensionally much thicker than the top...

4. This can all be resolved with a purpose built product

Great thanks didn't realize it was questionable using it as intended.
I have all summer to weld up something just for sh%%%ts and giggles.
 
2 broken LWHC here. Keep slack out of your tether cus when that thing shears off during the bigun this fall, its gonna be rather quick and you dont want to fall on, past or through your broken seat. B.O.L.D.S.
