Cam lock, Toe Hook

Hey guys quick question. Ordered a .5 to try this year. Maybe I’m over thinking it. When you can lock/ toe hook do you put both straps on then cam lock/ toe hook. Or put one on, cam lock/toe hook then put the second strap on. I will use the second strap no matter what so saying only use one won’t apply to me. Thanks!

Add the second strap after you cam the stand. LWCG recommends a soft cam where you don't raise the platform too steeply. You'll feel that out pretty quickly.

Okay thanks guys! I just wasn’t sure if adding the second strap before toe hooking would take away from the caming action. Just wanted to make sure

I've climbed hundreds and hundreds of trees of every insane shape and size, and never felt I needed a second strap. To each their own however

I see what youre getting at. If using it as a platform I'd use a second strap. As a stand never.
Yes sir! I’ll be using mine as a saddle hybrid platform. I get your point though! They look solid even with just one strap
