Looking at saddles I see a lot of companies offer kits that includes everything, are they something to consider?

Sure it’s something to consider. That is what I did. I will say I very rapidly replaced the ropes with smaller ropes.

Thinner.
I have a new saddle ordered. I may can make you a deal once I know when the new one will get here. Probably several weeks. PM if you want to discuss.
I’m pretty set on the Cruzr XC if I end up getting one but thanks anyways.

Honestly, I would surf the classifieds here and put a kit together that way. Might cost a slight bit more, but no one kit is 100%.

The problem with that is being new to saddles and not knowing much I don’t think I could make good choices.

Ask questions, do lots of research on here. This place is a wealth of knowledge. Have you ever bought a rifle/scope combo? The first thing you do is change things. Same thing is going to happen with your saddle kit. I researched for about 6 months before I bought my saddle (TX5). The problem is my TX5 might not work for you or the next guy. Very few people on here have one brand name throughout their whole set up. Most are hodge podges together by what works for them. That is why the classified is so nice. Also, if you get something you don't like, throw it up on the classifieds and get something new.
For instance people on here LOVE a ROS. I tried my best to make one work for me. I tried 6-8 different brands and set ups. I couldn't be comfortable for more than 5 minutes.
Every single piece of gear is a personal preference that I think a kit will get you in the game, BUT you won't be happy.

I am giving you things to think about. I hate to see anyone waste money, I know I have wasted more than enough for everyone. What is going to be your climbing technique, what is going to be your platform, what size ropes to rapell, friction knots or ascenders?????? One kit is not going to get you where you need to be.

I’m pretty set on the saddle (Cruzr XC) unless I see something different that looks better for me, owning a custom boat canvas shop I can make needed alterations. As far as ropes, carabiners, and Ropeman I’m good. The platform is an open question but I would have to have one that has an adjustable lean and on the larger size.
I still have one big issue, hanging from a single rope, I’m just not confident I can get past that.

Cruzr XC, Latitude Vapor 8mm lineman’s rope and tether, Kong ducks, tetherd dump pouches is how mine is setup. Imo, that’s the best setup that I could find. I think it’s better to purchase everything individually.

I was freaked out by hanging by a rope when I first tried it last year… I maybe went up 10ft to get the feel. I slowly went higher each time I practiced. Now, the best part is getting setup at the top and clipping into the rope! I doubt I’ll ever go back to a climber….and I’ve got 6 Vipers in my building collecting dust that I’ll still hold onto, but they probably won’t be used anytime soon.

I see that people are on the platforms by the balls or arch of their feet, it seems like that would have to be hard on the feet after a while.

Cruzr Seeker platform totally eliminates that

The hanging from a single rope issue is understandable but think about it this way. You’ve already fallen and been caught. Much safer than sitting on a tree stand with slack in your system.

On thing that comes to mind is when I fell with a rock climbing harness, I could not believe how much control and maneuverability I had. It’s a fear factor that I would probably get over, maybe .

But very comfortable. I put a Tethered xl on a tree right beside the MISSION. I sold the tethered the next day. Weight doesn't matter if you can't hang out in the tree all day. You have to be comfortable and not moving around.
I am 6'3" and 250lbs, if I want to cut 5 lbs out of my set up. I will lose 5lbs of body weight .. which I should probably lose 20+ anyways
