Ok,

I’m watching my old lady twist herself in knots with stroller and car seat combinations.

I’m watching the power of marketing and “you’re not a good enough deer hunter to kill deer without THIS product” being replaced with “you’re not a good mother unless you use THIS product.”

Interesting to see the parallels between these two worlds.

So, I need some smart practical dad input. Yeh I know it’s a saddle hunting forum. Exactly. Bunch of nerds. Help me out here.

Looking forward to the response this thread gets, considering when I searched “stroller” as a key word for thread titles, only one came up - a fella converting his jogging stroller to a deer cart.

If you do jog, it's a no brainer...get the Bob. Twins? Get the double Bob.

BOBs jogging strollers are nice, but like $500. I like having one of those and a cheap umbrella style one.

No jogging for me. She would. Is this a stand-alone suggestion that works for normal use and jogging? Or is it a dual purchase?

I used it almost exclusively except during international travel.

It's definitely bigger than the cheap umbrella style, but breaks down and sets up easy. My wife never had trouble with it, but a high lift vehicle could make it harder to load and unload.

We had a cheapo from safety first and it mostly sat the bench.

Looking back, I liked how the BOB handled toddler years. State Fair, no problem. Disney, best thing going. It can carry some weight. Case of Beer on a beach, easy peasy.

Yeah, but kids only fit in them for a short period of time then they go to Goodwill. Pennies on the dollar goes against the saddle hunting flow, I know, but it’s how I ro……..ll.

On my 3rd kid here... We have a jogger and a stroller. Both are compatible with a car seat for infants which is nice. The jogger is nice for.. uh jogging, and maybe on grass but is a bit heavy and unwieldy to get in/out of the car. The stroller is better IMO. We just have a cheaper Graco like below. Works as it should. They grow so fast I wouldn't drop serious coin myself. Once they hit like 2 years old the umbrella strollers are so much easier and take up less space/weight. Ours is older, but similar to this this: https://www.gracobaby.com/strollers/travel-systems/comfy-cruiser-2.0-travel-system/SAP_2139060.html

Congrats by the way! Psalm 127:4-5

Depending on how old your kid(s) are I’d get a graco/stroller combo. Kid stays in the car seat, pull the car seat from the base in the car and secure to the stroller. We had something like this and used it for both kids:
If you have two kids I’d recommend a graco duo glider or ready to grow.

I forgot about that. The safety 1st was a drop in, our umbrella was something else. A drop in is nice during infancy.

We went with the Uppababy, Vista I think is the model. My wife seems to like it…which is all that matters at the end of the day.

I believe this is what we have. The carrier just drops in when they’re younger. Then you can still use it as they get older.

Take it from the guy with 7 kids... a Graco or Chico will do everything you need a stroller to do.
Honestly I couldn’t agree more… But to my wife thats like saying a Hawk Saddle will do everything i need it to do…..

So we ended up with a city select double stroller. At least I got a great deal on FB marketplace!

It’s like you people are speaking another language. What the heck is a jogger and a stroller?
