I’ve seen prusik knots used as a backup for rm1 on the tether. Does anyone have a pic of this?
The ropeman is way easier to adjustI don’t get why you would this… if ur using a Prussic anyway…. Just get rid of the ropeman
Yeah but you still have to move 2 things nowThe ropeman is way easier to adjust
The prusik is a backup. Above the rm1 in the rare case the rm1 suddenly breaks
You would think, but the mechanical device acts like a tender. I used one on my CT roll and lock before I switched over to just using a hitchYeah but you still have to move 2 things now

Is that a HC Mini in the picture? How do you like it? What are your impressions over a bow?
To answer your question, I use mine as a progress capture to eliminate slack while climbing. The prusik acts as a non mechanical backup and I use it as a brake when rappelling.
1sticking
TL;DR Not everyone one-sticks the same way, and maybe it's safer than we thought...if you minimize slack during climbing. I think it’s a bit of a misnomer to say one sticking is inherently safe or unsafe. There’s commonly a lack of nuance when discussing this topic. I’ll agree that almost...saddlehunter.com
Please educate me, it’s why I post pics! But you no likey the TRC on resctech? Or running my secondary bridge through the hitch……it’s just redundant and should keep me off the ground no?@bfriendly I see three possible problems in the above picture, first the rope on rope of the hitch and bottom bridge, second the abrupt ending of the buries on the top bridge, and Newports while trying to be stealthy?
I think I saw a review and also noticed they(Hawk) didn’t taper the ends of the bury . I didn’t do too swift of a job making the secondary one either and it keeps poking out, even when I rebury it.@bfriendly I see three possible problems in the above picture, first the rope on rope of the hitch and bottom bridge, second the abrupt ending of the buries on the top bridge, and Newports while trying to be stealthy?
im assuming you remove the ropeman prior to rappel and attach prusik to lineman loop? I tend my friction hitch with my ATC and while it works it obviously doesnt adjust as well as the ropeman so this caught my attention...
I prefer this approach though I use a Michocoan hitch tied with an eye to eye. I’ve owned a rope but sold it. I’d rather not have another thing up the clanging around…Just use the prusik knot and a tender, ditch the ropeman
I tried it, went back to mechanical as I adjust a bunch. I find the mechanical to be a little more precise.I prefer this approach though I use a Michocoan hitch tied with an eye to eye. I’ve owned a rope but sold it. I’d rather not have another thing up the clanging around…
Correct. When I'm ready to come down, I stand up straight, throw lineman rope around, connect, tighten, and lean back. Then I slack my tether connection to remove RM1, connect prusik to lineman loop, and add ATC to main line and bridge.
