I’ve never had a stick kick out.
My number one problem with sticks is carrying them around, and packing and unpacking them at the base of the tree.
My guess is the only way to get a lower cordage tight enough to make any appreciable difference in odds of Kickout, you’d have to implement a truckers hitch.
You’re now tying multiple pieces of gear to the tree with multiple means of connection. Seems like a lot.

Number one concern I have is stand off bending. If you secure the stick and seat it properly on the right diameter tree, kick outs won’t happen. Bent stand offs…. That’s another story entirely

I haven't had an issue with my sticks kicking out either. Novix double minis with standard buckle straps. Just after one season of using sticks I'm getting sick of them. Packing them in, taking them off the pack, hooking them to my saddle, climbing and then doing it in reverse after the hunt. I can see why others have gone to one sticking or 2TC. Though I'm sure those have their own nuisances.

agree 100% the only other way i will attach any stick to a tree besides the cam strap is a truckers hitch with daisy chains
i also am one that has 1 problem with sticks finding that perfect packing up or strap to bag type of transportation.
This is my first year using them and don’t find them to be much more of a hassle than a climber, but I do need to analyze every motion and get a better,easier system of handling them. I’ve got to get a more foolproof easy method of attaching to my belt and I’ve got to find a quicker way of dealing with the ropes before I stack them to carry. I attach the stack to my pack with 2 24” nite ez gear ties , easy and quick, quiet too so that’s off the list. I don’t know how this system got marketed as being light, my 4 helium sticks and platform weigh over 18 lbs.
On my 1 stick and climbing sticks a have a lower versa button installed. If it’s a wet tree I will wrap an 1/8 amsteel around it for backup in case a kick out.
Works especially well for my 1 stick.
Same here. Gives me a little more confidence if I have to do some contortions for a off kilter shot.
I started running an ros in conjunction this year and find myself doing it less though
I don’t use it very often but being mobile and sitting up to 50+sits a year you run into some different trees. I’ve never bent a standoff because of it. I check my equipment often.
The only time I ever had a stick kick out is when I used a long aider on them (three step) and it was a longer stick, like a hawk full length. It’s my belief the aider acted like a pendulum and the bottom stand off a fulcrum, so if any side pressure was applied the bottom stand off would come off the tree. Didn’t matter how hard I set the stick.

I can see with the aider issue you mentioned. 90 % of the time I 1 stick with my DIY stick (18”) with a larger platform. I only kicked out once on a large wet birch and it got my attention. Wet trees and 1 sticking as most know can be tricky. In those instances I will double up on the lower standoff. Works for me

Well over 1k trees climbed with LW's. Mostly with the buckles, daisy chains the last 3 years.
Never once a kick out not even close. If your having issues with this stick kicking out its you.
I don't really care for the douche bags that formally owned the company but the sticks are solid.
I'll admit I don't trust most new products if its something Im using off the ground. If I see more than a couple complaints or 1 product failure I can tell you I'll never buy whatever it is if its backed up with pics. Anything Hawk comes to mind right off the bat.
