I’ve been looking at the TXG5 Minimalist saddle. Does anyone have any experience with it? I currently use a Cruzr XC saddle. I’m looking to see if the minimalist would be a good addition. Most of my sits are less than 4 hours. I do One Stick with a platform but also use multiple sticks in certain situations. I’ve seen some people one stick with a lightweight small locks, that is something that I may consider for the future. I am more of a leaner than a sitter in the saddle when I have a platform. I also have been contemplating setting up some lock on stands on my more permanent areas. I’d like to get some opinions on if the minimalist would be a good setup for what I’m currently doing and will possibly be doing.

I have one but only have a couple hunts on it. So far it’s not blown me away. It’s a well made and solid saddle but doesn’t do anything that my phantom doesn’t. Maybe more time will tell. Nothing wrong with it but just wasn’t as small and compact as I expected.

Following, been wondering the same thing. Hesitant to pull the trigger because of how much I like my cruzr xc.

My thoughts are if I took all my pouches off the xc like the minimalist how much smaller is it really?

Also it only seems to make sense to use if you’re not using pouches and I haven’t decided if I can give up pouches or not

Are any of you hunting out of lock one with your saddles?

How comfortable is that? Able to sit down like a normal lock on?

For me it’s about the perfect setup. I can hunt like a traditional lock-on or like a saddle. Most times I find myself standing up and leaning against the tree tho.
