I feel your pain. I’ve had back surgery from many lift assists. I’m a FF/EMT. Lifting takes a huge toll on the back and knees. Thanks for your service as well
for those researching Ebikes remember most public lands those are illegal on. I have a MTN bike with a gun/bow holder on handlebars and a rack on the rear, really makes a difference when you are out. Animals seem to ignore the consistent noise put off from rolling tires VS the sound of footsteps and it can really benefit you.

Here is the one I built. I started with a surly pugsley and added a bbshd kit from luna cycle. I had them "hot rod" it and upgraded to the 52 volt battery.
I would love to replace the hydraulic brakes and get some that have the sensors built in, and I've really been thinking of changing the front sprocket tho a 30 or 36 tooth sprocket for more torque. With the standard sprocket, I can really get 25mph on the flats and 10-15 up the holds around my house. I haven't had a chance to get it in the woods yet.
I still need to add the luggage racks etc, but it's coming along.

I hear they are better in Rocky and muddy terrain, and excel in snow. They run on low pressure so supposedly it's a smoother ride on uneven ground. I can't certify any of that however. I can say it seems sluggish on pavement. Now that the snow is melting, I hope to get in the woods this weekend.

ive considered the child carriers with 100lb limit... should work well for 1/4d up animals
another thing to consider when you choose a bike for these setups is a SOLID rear-end, the suspension wont allow you to get much grip bc it will give when you need to get some power to it. front suspension is good ear suspension bad
What about the difference in regular tires VS fat tires? Is there that much of a difference?
Fat tires get through soft ground a lot easier than narrow tires.....that goes for both sand and mud.
I have a Cogburn with a bow holder and love it. It's quiter for a lot of places to go in this way and is way faster. I haven't done much to it just added their bow holder, a water bottle and a bar light and I wear my pack with it. It is a work out though vs an electric bike but I don't mind it. I have two places I hunt I wouldn't want to be without it.

If I remember correctly a 750 watt bike is considered a peddle bike.
I great E bike to check out is the Radrover it goes for 1,400 . It's alot cheaper than a Quite kat.
Rambo e bikes had a cart that is light and is great for carrying a deer out of the woods . It attaches to the bike rack.
I have a junk mountain bike I typically have a three mile ride or so. I have tried pulling a trailer and didn’t like it. If either I or my dad shoot a deer we strap it to the bike and push it out. It pushes really easy ( was going to attach pic but it won’t let me )

I have the same exact bike . Looking to get a Radrover that my friend has on hold for me till I'm ready to buy it he has a Quite Kat he said he doesn't need two e bikes . The Radrover is hunt ready.
