I actually sticked out the other day rushing to get in my tree. My tether caught me and I just put the stick back on like nothing ever happened.

How young is too young for a tree saddle?

He’s a freak of nature and sits still and quiet. He’s not afraid to climb in ladder stands and sit for 6 hours. Problem is, 2 hurricanes back to back wiped out my lease and public is the only way as of now. But yes, SRT sounds good to start. I’m open to anything that keeps me from leaving my...

How young is too young for a tree saddle?

My six year old wants to hunt with me but all I have is public to hunt this year. I know it’s late to teach him the saddle and will probably be in a ground blind. I was just wondering if anyone would put a six year old in a saddle. Not to high and obviously right there in the same tree.

    Louisiana meet and hunt

I hope I get a chance to hunt at all this year. Live in Moss Bluff and currently kinda displaced and at work. I’ll have to rely on past spots if they aren’t tore up.

I wouldn’t cut anything. I know for sure it’s illegal. I hunt with a retired LDWF biologist.

    Louisiana meet and hunt

Anyone had time to check out Clear Creek, Kisatchie, or Peason Ridge after the hurricane? I’m in Moss Bluff with my teeth kicked in from Laura’s eye wall just wondering how my season will be.

    Louisiana meet and hunt

I’m on the west side of the state. National Forest is good. Don’t overlook the WMAs. Most have primitive campgrounds. Maybe pick 3 and put it to a vote
