The best (and cheapest) Saddle backpack

I'm actually a pretty big fan of the XOP Stryker Evo. Little more money than that, but not expensive by any means.

Where can I get a climbing rated quick link?

Thanks again everyone for the responses. I actually found another one out in my tote with all my old harnesses, and this one actually had writing on it. Of course it says made in Taiwan. But below it, it says “9NWLL2200LBS” Thoughts on this one?

    Expensive Hiking Boots?

Merrell Moab II's for me. I bought them right around when Covid was beginning a thing, so they were basically the only boot I could find that fit me. Right around $160, and I love them. Very comfy, right from the beginning. Probably have around 200-250ish miles on them (mostly mountains) and...

    Virginia group chat/possible meet up?

Where can I get a climbing rated quick link?

Thanks guys. I definitely was never considering using the one I found in my garage. I actually think they came with one of the many harnesses I've had over the years, but I wasn't going to take that chance.

Where can I get a climbing rated quick link?

I think using one might make me more open to hunting from trees with lots of cover and limbs. I found one in my tool box. Looks pretty heavy duty, my 11mm rope just barely fits through it when open...but I don't want to take a chance using it if it's not meant to be used for this. So where can...

    Cva wolf Muzzleloader

I've had the same issue with mine. Usually just pop it out with the tip of my knife. And I've been shooting (2) 50g pyrodex pellets, and a 240g hornady XTP for years. This combo has killed a lot of deer

Best saddle pack with no hip belt

I'm actually shocked at how much I like the XOP Striker Evolution.

    2022 Hunting Snacks/food

peanut butter tortillas, cliff bars and maybe some jerky. All wrapped in paper towels to keep the bag clean and no noise. Then I have something to wipe my nose with or clean my hands off with after gutting.

    Xop striker evo pack.

Mine carry's just fine without the waste belt. But I'd mention, that the one thing that I don't like about the pack, is that the straps on the bottom of the pack don't stayed cinched tight. I can't run my stick there. So I have to put my platform and sticks on the front of the pack.

    onX Imagery

Mine hasn't been upgraded. But...I could have sworn there was a "terrain" option to go along with satellite, hybrid, etc. Now it's "Topo", which I know is the same thing. But the terrain option was just a little easier to read while looking at the phone.

    Virginia group chat/possible meet up?

I'd be in on the group chat thing. I hunt by myself 95% of the time, so it would be cool to hear from guys in my general location especially, to see how things are going.
