    Your 2024 Elk Hunt

You in Great Bridge? I'm in Western Branch. I did not get any altitude sickness last year in western Montana. I stayed hydrated and forced myself to drink even when I wasn't thirsty. I bought the trail packs of Enduro and Ignite to give the water some flavor.

    Your 2024 Elk Hunt

I can agree with that. It will all depend on what Colorado decide to do with non-residents. I'm really interested to see how the new non-resident regions in Wyoming work out for this 2024 draw. Those special draw prices are crazy.

    Your 2024 Elk Hunt

Also, just because OTC is going away doesn't mean you won't be able to get a tag. There are several Colorado units that you can draw with 0 points, especially for archery. I did my first DIY hunt last year driving to Montana from the Hampton Roads area of VA. I learned so much and was able to...

Versatile and (cost) effective rain gear / pants?

I have the cabelas space rain suit. I really like the setup and haven't had any issues with it. I have yet to wear it in saddle though, but I don't anticipate any issues.

    Hunting Knifes lets talk

Been using a Havalon last 4 years or so, but keep the Buck 110 in the pack. I purchased a BM Steep Country and Saddle Mountain Skinner to try this year.

What bow is everyone shooting this year?

PSE Evoke 31 70lb and Bear Montana 45lb. Will be my first year using the longbow.

What broadheads are you shooting this year?

Been shooting Magnus Stinger Buzzcuts for the last couple years with no complaints. Adding some slick trick viper tricks to the quiver this year too. They fly like darts right on with my buzzcuts.

    What boots are y’all wearing?

I hunt in the Lacrosse Alphaburly Pro for where I am at in VA. They are comfortable to me and have been the best rubber boots that I have worn. I recently purchased a pair of Crispi Colorado for my do all boots when not hunting swamp lands and to prepare for my upcoming elk hunt in Montana.

    What’s in Your Quiver?

Been shooting GT Hunter XT 340 spine cut to 28.25 with magnus stinger buzzcuts the last few years out of a PSE Drive. I picked up a new bow this offseason and will be looking for a new arrow setup this upcoming year. Only a couple months left of deployment and I'll be able to get back to shooting.
