    Just some dude on the internet here, but to me that looks like marks left from a chip breaker endmill. These would need some kind of post processing once they come out of the mold to remove flashing. Just my assumption but it does make some sense.

    Holster attached to the molle webbing on the belt of my pack. If your not using a pack a chest holster rig isnt a bad option either, assuming you don't use a bino harness.

    This^^^ right here! I didn't realize how heavy till I started adding everything up. Hence the different cleats in the pictures. The Schafer was lighter than the harken but the minimum line size meant it ended up being a heavier total package. The ronstan cleat overall is my winner at this point.

    Yeah, everywhere a fastener goes through the tube has reinforcement inside the tube that's bonded in with epoxy.
