    Amsteel Attachment for Squirrel Steps

I just stumbled on this (I'm Brooks Maxey) and I can say I have tested my method throughly with a couple different steps. all of them work very well. Yes you need a long bit of amsteel but for weight and size there's nothing smaller or lighter. These can fit into a fanny pack and get you 20'...

Out on a Limb solo scout

I don't have incredibly large feet but it works great more comfortable than you would think since you never really stand when saddle hunting (at least I don't) you just need some where you rest your feet until go time this give me just that and the ability to move anywhere on the tree when the...

Out on a Limb solo scout

I was the unofficial product tester I had their article one (still do). It is by far the best platform I have ever used. There's "no free lunch" so if you want a platform you can roll out a blanket and have a picnic on this isn't it. If you want the lightest and most packable platform for...

Upgrade your Tethrd Mantis into a Tethrd Phantom (Amsteel prussik bridge)

It's not that hard you make a locked brumel on the first end bury the full length of your bridge make a continuous loop with full length bury on both ends then loop the bridge 3x through the inside of the continuous loop pass to through and dress do the same thing on the other side of the...

    Issues with wild edge perch

    Teophyline Ambush Lite

I cut the factory bridge off after two hunts I hated it. First I replaced with amsteel but finally landed on climbing rope bridge. I've also added buckles to the leg straps and replaced the factory waist buckle. I would say overall it's 10x better this way.

    Issues with wild edge perch

So I was one of many that ordered the perch shortly after it's release. I have to say there are things I like but also some major drawbacks. First what I like: it's incredibly lightweight and packable in conjunction with WE steps (I carry 5) and it's a perfect size and shape for my style. Now...
