    Safety Line Rope for Rappelling

I could be wrong but I think these ropes are weight rated for 300 lbs. not exactly sure they’re static rope either. I repel down a lot, just for the fun of it. Get some climbing rated rope and a decent ascender. I like my Grigri but there are others. A simple rescue 8 is fine if you learn how to...

    Knaider swaider on helium’s?

Was thinking the same about trying to hook a loop on the way down.

    Knaider swaider on helium’s?

I’ve seen some guys complaining about the bottom of the sticks kicking out. That’d be pretty crappy to have happen with a swaider on your top stick.

    Knaider swaider on helium’s?

Just got a set of helium’s. Been using steps with knaider swaider. Does anyone use knaider swaiders hooking onto just the bottom steps on the helium’s? I watched Jaime clines vid with just the knaider.

    tube webbing bridge question

Bought another sitdrag that came with 6’ of tube webbing. Watched several vids of guys tying water knots etc. my question is this, if I leave say a 4” tail, would it be advisable to sew that tail to the strap so it can’t come loose? This webbing is pretty slick

    New Guy from Northeast Indiana

Welcome from ne Illinois. It doesn’t have to be all too expensive. Sit and drag is about $35 rock climbing harnesses are cheap, go in on a set of 8 WE stepps with a buddy and get a swaider/ naider. I’m using a ring of steps because I had them.

    Ropeman 2 on 8mm

How long is it supposed to take to fuzz up a rope with a rope man 2? I’ve been using mine on my tether and lineman’s for about the past 20 climbs with zero damage. I actually like the tiny teeth on it. They’re nothing compared to the teeth on my hand ascender. Seems like as long as you open it...

    Girth hitching a straight tree

I’m using WE stepps and naider/swaider and just figured it’d be somewhat easier to repel down with my Grigri and remove steps as opposed to trying to knee hook and hook naider coming down in the dark.

    Thanks for the replies.

    Ropeman 1

The ropeman 2 works far better on the smaller rope. I have 2 ropeman 1 but use the ropeman 2 on my tether. Guys apparently don’t like them because they have tiny teeth instead of large gear type teeth, but I’ve zero wear on my tether. I was trying to trade the #2 for 2 WE steps, glad I didn’t...

    Girth hitching a straight tree

I’m climbing using WE stepps and Knaider/ swaider, I have a Grigri, hand ascender and everything to srt as well. Just wondering if it’s feasible to girth hitch my climbing rope just around the tree and repel down. I’ve done it with the rope girth hitched between a fork or large branch but never...
