Hawk Helium sticks and HSP platform value leader.

I know this post is a bit old but just wanted to share my experience. I bought Hawk Minis after not loving climbing spurs for a couple years. I dismissed the straps that came with the heliums and got amsteel daisy chains which worked and were very compact however if the daisy chain loop didn’t...

Klein Tree Climbers - talk me into or out of these

Haha yeah, that would be bad. I got some rubberized keepers for the gaffs, which don't fit the greatest, but at least I wont put holes in the wife's carpet...or my leg. I need some warm weather so I can do all this messin around out of doors.

Klein Tree Climbers - talk me into or out of these

Bottom half of climber as steps

Thanks for all the info/interest. Sounds like I joined the right group, who knows their stuff or at least cares a lot about these topics. I literally just had my ropes and biners delivered so I'll test things out and let yuh know how it goes.

Bottom half of climber as steps

I've never used a prusik before but I imagined it being pretty easy to slide up/down when not in tension when I standing on the platform. Not that easy though? Yeah, I was thinking about tying the platform to the front of my harness or something, but I'll figure that out. As for a harness...

Bottom half of climber as steps

I'm pretty new to the site so bear with me. I currently use a climber but am not happy with it because it's heavy, can be loud with the pins and cheap tree strap, and takes a while getting into the tree. I haven't taken the plunge into saddle hunting yet but I am trying out a new way (to me)...
