    What's your job

So you paint asphalt black? :tearsofjoy: Just messing with you. I'm an asphalt plant manager but my company doesn't do sealcoating. We sub it out to someone else if a job calls for it.

Which states dont allow screw in steps?

I didn't say its fair game. Just different regulations. Federal land would be under a federal website. So if its the nicolet national forest, it would be here https://www.fs.usda.gov/Internet/FSE_DOCUMENTS/fseprd479752.pdf I hunt public in wisconsin where its legal to use screw in steps...

Which states dont allow screw in steps?

That is only for state owned land. Does not apply to other public lands.

Which states dont allow screw in steps?

Dependent on what public you are hunting and who owns it. State land has different rules than county land, which is different than paper mill land.

    LWCG pre-orders

Passed on them without having to think too hard. Stand just isn't special enough to justify the price to upgrade over my assault to save 2-3lbs. Will need something truly revolutionary to buy a different set of sticks. And these definitely are not it for me. Beast sticks, old assault and...

    What's your job

Graduate in may with my masters and bachelors in civil engineering. Start my career on Monday as an asphalt plant manager and get to manage day to day operations of 14 large plants with one other guy. Gonna be nice to finally afford to drink something other than hamms beer.

I left 99% of the groups on Facebook

The facebook groups are really making me see forums in a different light. Repetitive questions and the constant leg humping of others just gets old. Just slowly pulling myself away from it and doing other things. Heck I'm trying to learn how to shore fish lake michigan now. Just want something...

    Lone Wolf Custom Gear

Should have seen the facebook page. Couldn't even believe some of the stuff that was posted. I'm with you on supporting the guys who deserve to be supported. What some of these guys have done for deer hunting will live on longer than them. Least I can do is support their products they put a...

    My $20 DIY platform

Grinder and cut off wheel would do it. Would need a small case of wheels but it’s doable for guys who don’t have fancy stuff. Use my grinder way more than I ever thought I would when I bought it.

    Why saddle vs hang on

I just use both. Best of both worlds. Kind of like having a couch and a recliner. Sit in one, put your feet on the other, and switch when you feel like it. Some trees its all saddle for me with a bigger platform, some trees its just sitting in the hang on with a really nice harness. But its...

    Beast sticks

You buy them individually. Most bought 4 I think. Dan runs 5. I bought 5 as well since I’m not an aider fan. 4 is plenty for most of my hunts, but the 5th is worth the weight the one hunt you really need it. At least for me. There should be another sale soon. Check the beast daily if you...

Different ways to carry your sticks...

Beast sticks bungeed on my really big platform, backpack straps on my platform. Multiple trips up the tree for me. Finally found a system that works, and I will not fall into the saddlehunter effect of owning every single climbing method known to man and g2  But I think this shows there...
