    Ok guys....SUV or Crew Cab?

Saturday I took possession of the Subaru Outback! Yesterday I installed a 2 inch receiving Hitch. Today I began to experiment with how I might sleep in it. For a pillow, I stuffed a sleeping bag between the front seat and the folded-down backseat. The back seats fold down pretty flat so I just...

I'm still unpacking and haven't found my recurve bow yet. But when I do, I'd love to go do that! I need some serious practice though. I can't hit anything with it.

It was a wild ride, but my wife and I are safe. We were in Gulfport, MS, so we missed the worst of it. I'm praying for everyone else.

I'm watching and praying from the sidelines here in Gulfport, MS. A Southern Baptist Disaster Relief Team from Ohio is on its way to help. I used to be on that team. Hang in there!

    Ok guys....SUV or Crew Cab?

I'm in the process of buying a 2012 Subaru Outback. I'll be the second owner. I'm buying it from the dealership where it was purchased originally. All the recommended maintenance was done there. But the car was in very rough shape when I looked at it. The dealership agreed to a long "to do" list...

Good morning fellow Mississippi hunters. It is about 8:15 am here in Gulfport. We're on lockdown for Hurricane Ida. Can't go anywhere. And everything on base has been shutdown since yesterday afternoon. We have most of our boxes unpacked and were able to actually get the car in the garage...

I'm registering for the MS draw hunts. Just want to verify my understanding. True or false: I can register for all the hunts (except handicapped) and I only have to pay if I get drawn and accept. If I get drawn for a day I have to work, I can pass on it.

I’m home (Gulfport Naval Base) from deployment! We have a house full of boxes. But most of the essentials are unpacked and set up. Looking forward to hunting season. Glad I have a little while to get ready before the first good snow.

    Nutterbuster and Scooby-Doo

I got stuck way back in the middle of Ft. Stewart in South Georgia once on Christmas Day. I get a lot of laughs when I say, "That's alright, I'm getting hazardous language pay." I can tell they respect me a lot. I am the oldest guy in the whole command (53). And they like that I am prior...

Well fellas, my deployment is wrapping up soon and I'll be headed to Gulfport. I have a question about flood & mud. I've seen Mississippi hunting videos on YouTube where the water is rising rapidly. And I've read online that some of the WMAs flood frequently. Should I be concerned that the water...

    Nutterbuster and Scooby-Doo

@Nutterbuster, I've got much respect for you Sir! You are probably right. I'm probably obsessing needlessly. It's just that I plan to hunt near the Mississippi River and I've seen a few Youtube videos of the waters rising a foot or more while the hunters were in the tree. And roads turning into...

    Nutterbuster and Scooby-Doo

From what I've seen online, I would have to takeoff the bumper and custom fabricate either a winch plate or a way to mount a 2 inch receiver. That's not an option for me, especially since I'll be living on base when I get back. I could easily put a winch on the back, but that would pull me the...
