This is the jawbone from a buck I shot in Mississippi season before last. I’ve studied and looked and studied and looked, and I don’t have any idea how old this Buck is. I have to throw away this jawbone before the end of March because we’re moving. This is only one of many beautiful treasures I have to part with.

I haven’t done it yet myself but I believe depending on what you want and the quickness of the return of the results…. It’s like $33 for the 90 day results option.

Have you YouTube’d it. I saw a video on the subject by a true professional of some sort. It’s very easy to do. I forgot exactly how but it has to do with the black tarter rings being thicker than the white rings on the teeth. Check it out and save yourself the trip to D&R or the post office.

That's 2.5

You can send the 2 center incisors to DeerAge for lab aging. It used to cost $25 but it's been a few years since I've done it.

EDIT:
I looked at your pics on a better screen, It could be 3.5 but I'm still leaning towards 2.5.
Tooth wear can be variable from region to region due to soil composition and diet.

He's at least 2 but probably not super old. A 1.5 year old deer still has a baby molar or you can tell it's super recently replaced. That's all the tooth wear technique is good for. Qdma used to make it out to be way more reliable than it actually is, but I think they've chilled with pushing it. The labs can do it more reliably by counting growth rings
