    Tree Squeeze DIY

I will help to have a stiff rope to "throw/toss" up the tree for each move. I use an actual cable tree squeeze. I tried a commercial friction saver and it was not stiff enough.

    Bowtech limb fail.

Love my 2008 Bowtech 101st airborne. Not a single issue.

    Weather app/info preferences

I like windy.com for wind and weather. With the paid model you can compare weather forecasts from six different weather models. Predicted Wind speed, Wind direction, Amount of rain in 3 hour chucks, and Temp. You can get hours but only on one model at a time. You pick the modell

    Still searching for knee comfort

I also tried the steps method and agree it was comfortable. However it still requires knee pads, which I hate due to sweat. I disagree with needing them tight. Might need to be tight to support the side pressure.

    Still searching for knee comfort

They sell flat pads 1" and 2" thick as well, but probably not with the firmness needed. I am gonna try the suggested thermaseat.

    Still searching for knee comfort

I have the JX3 so I am all set. I have other soft saddles that if I can get the knee issues address, it will give me more options depending on circumstances.

    Still searching for knee comfort

I have tried several quality knee pads. They all make my knees and back of knees sweat. Plus they have not completely removed the pain, only helped.

    Still searching for knee comfort

Has anyone seen or better yet tried the Pur-Pro minKnee? This is a pad made for saddle hunters. My forum search came up empty.

    Ordered a Dryad Drey Yesterday!

Interesting. I will have to give that a try. I have the drey with linesman loops, but I found them uncomfortable.

Public Land Hunting VA: Oakley Forest WMA?

I hunted Oakley before the state acquired the land. It was under QDMA management as a hunt club. I did not have a lot of luck on the property but the deer are there. When I looked at it as a WMA, it looked like a lot of walking as there were only a couple parking lots. Those that like to walk...

    Confession one stick

I have. My first method was the Steppladder (even with naider and swaider). Too much fiddle trying to get it tight to the tree(depending on bark) I have not tried squirrel steps although have have something similar for a ring of steps. Might have to research best way to attach as a single step...

    Confession one stick

I am in the exact some boat. Love my spikes and can use them 90% of the places I hunt. Looking for an acceptable second method. I have the EWO ultimate one stick but have not been fond of that method YET! I am currently testing out my version of 2TC, only using stuff I already have laying...

The Dryad Drey (first ever saddle sit)

If only they could solve the knee pressed against the tree issue. I hate knee pads(hot and uncomfortable). Have not like the "tree pad" yet.
