WTS - Latitude Outdoors Method 2

Oh ok. Thanks. I’m looking for an XL. Figured I’d take a shot at finding a used one before I pulled the trigger on a new one.

(SOLD) Hawk Sticks with Top Step Platform and Rappelling Gear

I’d estimate I've got around $400 tied up in it altogether. Prefer not to split it all up. Asking $300. PayPal G&S. Split shipping. Or I’d drive for local pickup within 2-3 hrs of north central AR. ▪3 Hawk Heliums that I cutdown myself to approx. 20". Still have the old steps if someone...

Important Information on Sterling Hollow Block

I don’t know. I’ve tried as many wraps as I can get and can’t get it to bite. Yours is the 6.8mm, right?

Important Information on Sterling Hollow Block

Right. I was stating that Sterling titles their 6.0mm sewn loop item as a Sterling Autoblock. I’ve never had any luck getting the 6.8mm Hollowblock to bite on my 8mm Oplux when tied as an autoblock or a Klemheist.

Important Information on Sterling Hollow Block

Same here. I've used that solid, 13.5 cm, 6 mm Sterling autoblock and it works excellent on Oplux (for my 250# self). I've got some 5.5 mm Beal cordelette coming soon too to tinker with. 6.8 Hollowblock is 85% diameter of Oplux, which may not truly be a representative % since the thing is...

Important Information on Sterling Hollow Block

Are you using the 6.8mm hollowblock or the 6 mm sterling cord that is called an autoblock? I have 8 mm oplux tether and rappel rope, and I own both the 6.8 and the 6. The 6 isn't "hollow", and it's the one I use as an autoblock when rappelling as a backup on my tether (I use separate ropes for...

Termination knots? distel hitch tails to carabiner, Oplux/TRC

Thanks, I'll give that a shot and see if it's better. Oh, and WPS! I assume, given the username.

Termination knots? distel hitch tails to carabiner, Oplux/TRC

This is a somewhat older thread but I wanted to second what you’ve said and hope someone else has some input. I, too, use a distel with TRC on Oplux. 3 over 1 is easy to tender but in a simulated ground level fall, it will not grab my 250 lb self. I use the 3D printed tender. With 4 over 1, no...

    Missouri Meetup

I’m still in, if the area is open and my job lifts the restriction on out of state travel. I live 10-15 miles from the AR/MO state line. Maybe I won’t be stricken if I cross over to the northern hinterlands of Missourah.
