    Bareshaft/ arrow tuning

I went down this "tuning hole" a few months back when I decided to build my own shop, strip down my bow to bare, replace with custom strings and level everything Myslef. What I found is if you read and watch everything on the internet regarding tuning and try to meet those standards you'll...

    Expensive Hiking Boots?

I was always reluctant to spend more on higher end boots and always bought a lot of merrills when on sale. A few years ago a bought some Crispi's and won't/can't go back. They are tough as nails and super comfortable. I wait for sales and buy when models I like are being discontinued. I have...

Optics- are the vortex HD 20-60x80 scopes decent (camofire today)?

That's a great point. A $1200 piece of used glass will be way better than a $700 piece of new glass 99.9% of the time.

Who makes quality camo outer wear

IMO Sitka has got it nailed down for treestand hunters. If you're moving around a lot, hunting from the ground/stalking and doing a bunch of shorter sits than maybe kuiu is a better fit. I'm not a big believer in the cameo pattern takes all.

Optics- are the vortex HD 20-60x80 scopes decent (camofire today)?

I'd hold off. Sportmans still has some gen 1 razor's that go on sale for $799 a lot. If you can pair that up with a code you can get a gen 1 80mm razor for about $700

    Advice on processing

I hang it, skin it and any hair left on I burn off with a torch. You shouldn't be dealing with much hair so it goes really fast, hardly have to touch a hair with flame and it's gone

    OZONICS

You crack open a window in the back to let air flow through the blind

    OZONICS

I've seen really great results from using it in a blind. To the point that I don't put as much into wind direction if I'm headed to a blind. Treestands are a different story... I bought it so I'll take it every time on presets (does make me feel better.) but I won't take it on run and guns.

    Opening Day Gun in PA

I'm happy guys are out hunting but PA is frustrating. I own a small piece and only bow hunt. It's crazy the crap you have to deal with... People will watch for when you are gone and try to drive it during gun season, if they see a stand or camera they'll probably take it (cell cams have helped...

What did you buy over Thanksgiving/Black Friday/Cyber Monday that is saddle related?

Man I was hoping to feel better about myself after reading this... But I've been putting off doing all my own bow work for years so yesterday I went all in with ez green press, bap vise, archery dezigns draw board, an adjustable height work bench from the depot and a few misc tools. Hoping...

Keeping Feet Warm: A Different Approach - Down Booties

I've been wearing a pair of short xtratuff boots in and swapping out to a pair of Outdoor Research camp booties. Usually put one hand warmer in each and it's perfect. I tried the adhesive toe warmers but those almost made my feet roast. Way more comfortable than boots and super quiet

    Tethrd One Sticks Gen 2

Was I out of line?? Not being a jacka$$ I’m honestly just curious

    Tethrd One Sticks Gen 2

This probably won't be popular and maybe I'm in the minority but I'd figure I'd share my experience with Tethrd and the whole ONE stick debacle... I've had some of their saddles, but saddle hunting wasn't for me and I went back to a stand. Skipped the gen 1 and waited for gen 2, when released I...
