So I bought a used bino harness that didn't come with the safety tethers to attach the binos to the harness. I knew this ahead of time and was cool with it, as I planned to just use the safety tether from my junky harness and move it over to the marsupial.

Well that didn't work with the way my other tethers are attached, so I dug out my amsteel and some plastic clips. Made the tethers and also made two continuous loops to attach to the binos so I could use both ends of the plastic clips.

Popped a couple of split d rings off the 3d printer, and voila, amsteel bino safety tethers.

No real need for them to be amsteel obviously, but its what I had laying around and it gave me something to do for an hour.

What size Amsteel is that? You sure it will hold up? lol.

Looks good too!

Where did you find the little 1/4” buckles? I’d like put them on the shoulder strap that came with my binos for times I don’t want to break out the harness (and be made fun of by my wife………)

I got them from Amazon. It was a cheap little pack for bracelets. I think hobby lobby may have them too. I used to make paracord bracelets, keychains, lanyards, etc and had them laying around from that stuff.

I just used what I had on hand to make them. I couldn't use the ones from my old harness, and didn't like the clips on it anyways, and I didn't want to use paracord although I guess I could have. Marsupial sells them for 2 bucks but probably charges $7 shipping so I figured I would save a buck or two and also cured some boredom.

I like doing things with amsteel also. I have way more stuff made up than I can possibly use.
