    Western Rivers Outdoors???

Just in brief before I forget to get back here - 1 hunt, went with rope instead of the included strap. Had some trouble I think with the rope not getting as tight as I might want and had to stand on the tube and hook the platform with a toe, resetting it. But when tight I was pleased. Size is...

    Card reader for iPhone

I have an HME that works with the iBrary app, and the apple brand that actually is more reliable, works with the native photo management. Moultrie quit working.

    First saddle hunt

No reason you couldn’t. Except did you put up or trust the person who put it up? How long has it been there. Has it been cared for? Do a search on this forum for ladder stand failure, made me rethink some of my setups.

Why not just wear base layers

I haven’t yet. But any plastic type matetial is degraded by ozone. To my understanding that is why I have to replace our rescue ropes every 10 years, used or not. It’s the variable we can’t control.

Why not just wear base layers

Did a diy scent control tote with an amazon ozone generator, and have scent control base layers and outer wear (after years of clearance racks and Christmas’s.) the tote is big enough to handle pack, saddle and all the goodies. Fair warning - ozone is hard on synthetics.

New from the north end of the ozarks

Another sit today this afternoon, making three in the saddle. Had an encounter with three does on the second that was interesting. The lead doe (who may have snuck in on me abit in a moment of distraction) spotted me, but never spooked, just got uncomfortable. Didn’t run off just changed her...

New from the north end of the ozarks

I set my 14 y/o in a tree in a home made saddle before I climbed up. It fits him because he wants to roam a bit more. He has been enjoying it so far from the texts I’ve gotten.

New from the north end of the ozarks

Not bad at all. It will get way better when I get in a rhythm and I have some of the finer points tuned in. Just a three hour sit today, without a platform, just the top of my sticks and convenient limbs. I have been way more uncomfortable in a blind chair or a hang on

New from the north end of the ozarks

Sitting in the Missouri deer woods was I type, in my first home made saddle. With a background in ropes and rescue and climbing a lot of trees when I was young the promise of hunting almost any place I could find a tree without moving a large stand myself sounded awesome. 2.5 hours in and...
