    Schwabisch hitch

It looks like you are using poachers knots at the carabiner. Consider a scaffold knot which has another turn and is therefore less likely to slip. if you are shortening the length from hitch to biner this will also help use that excess tag end. Be safe!

    Dangers of a Ropeman 1

I also have a prussik above my ropeman on my tether with a stopper knot. When climbing SRT I have a short webbing bridge but also clip my amsteel bridge in the biner as backup. At height I switch to my tether but leave my climbing rope and Grigri attached loosely as backup. Lots of redundancy...

    Ozonics, proper placement?

I use one. Had a young buck hang around downwind of me last year for about 5 min. Never busted me from 15 yards and I was only 10 ft off the ground. Was it Ozonics? Maybe. Keep in mind ozone is heavier than air and will sink. So if you place if on your tether or above directly in front of...

    Custom Platform Suggestions

Someone else mentioned adding traction/friction, especially to the angled surface. I can see how the design would add comfort but also be a safety concern, particularly on wet days or with muddy boots. A slip could have major consequences. Good luck with your project. Happy hunting and be safe.

    Rope Mod for Helium Sticks?

Ordered some 1/4" dyneema to do rope mods on my full size Heliums but will try removing the buckles first. Pretty sure I can find some other use for 10000# rope.

    Prayers needed

Just saw this. I am very happy to hear Elynn is doing better. In spite of creating a little discomfort at times ,laughter is one of the best medicines. God bless you and your family through this trying time.

    Need some scouting advice

I wouldn't be too concerned about a drop off of traffic this time of year. Does are birthing fawns right now and are laying low for a bit. Look for rubs and scrapes that might still show up before the green up is totally complete, although its getting a bit late for that. I don't worry too...
