    Watching the movie “Fall” ….

Best movie to watch the night before doing a morning sit…. The Blair Witch Project. Try it… you’ll thank me later.

    Smells that take you back.

OFF mosquito repellent. Without fail, every time I smell it, I’m reminded of my dad waking me up an hour before daylight when I was around 10 to take me squirrel hunting. Mosquitoes were usually thick in September, so he would bathe me in that stuff before we wondered through the woods chasing...

    Dumb Luck

when I was 14 years old, I had a friend who had a black bear compound bow that was barely legal draw weight. He didn’t use it, so I begged my parents to buy it for me. After flinging Walmart arrows at a bale of straw with a paper plate attached to it for about a week, I felt “confident” enough...

carry as you go aiders that attach to the top of your sticks are dangerous

Same experience with the top step mounted aiders for the tethrd one-stick. Love the stick, HATE the aider. To each their own… but I ended up buying an extra stick to mitigate the aider acrobatics.

    The Piled-High Club

Wow, that’s an important question that completely slipped my mind. Perhaps I should ask anyone who wishes to respond to clarify what their target animal is, because that certainly changes the dynamics.

    The Piled-High Club

For the killers… do you use leg straps? Jokes aside, how would you arrange each of the following groups in order 1-3 based on your personal success/priority? 1 being the most productive, 2 being somewhat productive, 3 being the least productive? Group 1 (location): - bedding - transition -...

    Carbon Spurs —sold, please close

I have a set of gecko climbing spurs that I’m considering selling/trading. They have been stealth stripped and soft touch tape applied, but the Velcro calf strap and leather ankle straps are still unmodified. Tried them once before committing to cutting the straps and doing the buckle mod, but...

One gun to rule them all

My only regret with this one was not buying multiple calibered barrels when they were readily available. You can buy an entire gun for what people are asking for the barrels now. Love my .50 cal encore muzzleloader set up… but I definitely failed to capitalize on the potential with this one.

One gun to rule them all

Of all my guns, my Benelli SBEII with both slug and field barrels would be my favorite and choice if I could only have one. A close second would be my ruger 10-22. Both guns are relatively cheap to shoot, and in a pinch I could do absolutely everything with either (wouldn’t shoot a deer of...

Passed on 5 points this evening…not seeing much, so hope I don’t regret that.

    Team 8

I only shoot button bucks and booners, but for some reason that escapes me… I have yet to see a booner. Best of luck this season folks!

How much to buy your bow?

$699.99 for the z7 extreme if they had cash in hand (exact change only), but then I’d be scrambling to get my v3 that’s been hanging on the wall for a year setup. Push comes to shove, I’ve got a few excaliburs that could get me through the early season.

Help me pick a different arrow

Sirius Apollo 300 is my new arrow. Never had an issue with the FMJ, but I’m just trying the high FOC route this year to see what the fuss is about.

What is this on this deer?!

    Eglin AFB Reservation

My best luck was in the dog units during early archery (before dogs are allowed to be used). I’ve got a few spots I’ll share with ya if ya hit me up. I left there 6 years ago, but I had one particular spot that panned out every year for the 5 years I spent in the area. Here’s a tip, drive...
