    Treebolts revisited

Is it pretty quiet? Could you drill and hunt same time?

    Hunting with Spurs on...?

That's encouraging, thank you! I'm going to stick it out, I love the idea of it. I've got to practice a lot! Didn't think about the other belt. I'm also going to look into rappelling down. Thanks again!

    Hunting with Spurs on...?

How do you guys navigate around limbs when you climb? I'm new to spurs and I feel pretty good until I have to unhook and go around limbs. I've only tried climbing twice, it's a lot tougher than I thought it'd be.

    Treebolts revisited

I hate to admit it, but when I first started I spent 10 min drilling the wrong way with my left hand. I'd try right and it'd drill fine, I switch to left and it wouldn't drill. By the time I got up that tree I was whipped!! I guess if you're gonna be dumb you gotta be tough.

    Treebolts revisited

Think I might have to suck it up and use the ez cut again this year. I'm going to experiment with some other battery powered drills. If I hit the jack pot on one I'll let y'all know.

    Treebolts revisited

Does anyone know of a super quiet drill that a lazy hunter can use instead of the hand drill?? I'm a mobile hunter, but that hand drill is rough on me. I need to be able to find hot sign and drill and hunt right then. Thanks for any help!!

    Treebolts revisited

If you are going mobile and hunting fresh sign, do you use the drill to put your bolts in? If it's quiet enough not to spook deer, that would definitely be the way to go.

    Treebolts revisited

I use a woodpecker drill and it works great. It takes some getting used to, but it's the ultimate in mobility.

Thanks, I've been drilling trees for a year or so, but haven't hunted out of a saddle. Thanks for the info

Do the bolts hurt your feet after you've been standing on them for hours?? Thanks!
