Can anyone recommend a good set of shoulder straps?

The ones I have are military molle mesh style, I just looked them over and found a small tag that says condor. I bought mine on ebay years ago pretty cheap, they work great, no metal at all, comfortable, n lightweight.

Smallest size platform you would consider using?

I'd go 10"x10", anything bigger would b unnecessary. Put 2 screw ins or ameristeps at 3 n 9 o'clock about a foot higher than your platform, this set up allows u to shoot 360 without needing to go around the tree. More comfortable to. On another note if you need a back pack for this setup, my...

    Saddles,From The Beginning

I've never seen one in person, but I can remember them being advertised in trad archery mags, seems like they tethered with the tree behind you.

    GW OR EVOLUTIION

Buy both now, and use them both as much as u can between now and next fall. If you give them both a fair shot, u will know by next hunting season which ones right for u. Then u can sell the other one right before next season, and you shouldn't take more than a 100 dollar hit on the one u sell...

    Buckingham Tree Spurs

Wasn't really meaning this for u, yer not new to this, but for those that r it's something they'll want to think about, before they're 30 feet up a tree, with gaffs strapped to a pair of alpha burlys.

    Buckingham Tree Spurs

B careful, ive had the damn stirup of my spur slide off the back side of my boot. Climbing boots with a big heel r a good idea.

    tree seat platform

I go about 210, the first year I used it with my tree saddle, about 10 years ago, I stood on the outside edge of the seat and it slightly deformed the aluminum L braces that run under the seat. I just stayed off that outside edge for a few years with no other problems, but eventually I decided...

    tree seat platform

The best tree seat for a platform, if you want to go that route, is the one made by chippewa wedge loc. If you're over say 200 pounds like I am you will want to brace it up with one inch square steel tubeing. When you get one, tear off the padding and cover the plywood with skateboard grip tape...

    Advantages of the Guidos Web

I have a web and a TL saddle and they are totally different animals, I'll probably pick up an evolution this year, and if there is a substantial increase in comfort over the saddle, it will probably take the place of both. The web does seem a little cumbersome to me, I think if I used it more...

    Painting a saddle

Asat would be sweet on an evolution, I'd order one, maybe you could take down requests for them till there was enough to make it worth new tribes time.

    Let's talk Saddle Comfort

Try standing on the bottom steps of a single muddy stick for your platform. I use soft knee pads which rest against the top steps of the stick, that way I'm typically sitting with 50% of my weight on my butt, 25% on my feet, and 25% on my knees. The really nice thing though is I can redistribute...
