    Pellet Gun Setup

I've had the Talon SS full size for about 15 years. The trigger was horrible and took a lot of work to smooth it out (still has lots of creep), but it's about as loud as an electric stapler. I'm way over scoped for squirrels in Missouri as It's still set up for Prairie Dogs in Colorado and...

    Pellet Gun Setup

I have several spring pistons (.22 and .25) and a bolt action PCP in .22, but i needed something for faster follow up shots on the tree rats attempting to get in the bird feeders and the attic. Picked up a SIG MCX in .177, pulled the red dot off my turkey gun, and have taken out 2 of the 8 or so...

    2024 Turkey Thread

Opening day here in Missouri. Took the shotgun for a little 5 mile or so walk in the woods. Called in 1 angry hen, 1 silent Jake and that was it. Didn't hear a single gobble or any shots. Talked to several hunters who reported the same. Opening week last year was about the same, hoping after the...

Who uses a ring of steps?

Never used my seeker platform this year at all. Small platform at the top of the 1stick and 6 squirrel steps on an OCB strap, good for all day.

    Bald/shaved head care

This is what I use in the shower along with suave conditioner, every couple of days (when it starts to get grabby). Ive been doing it this way for almost 20 years. Dry off, use some moisturizer and sunscreen, get on with the day...

    All you Turkey Vest guys...

The box with mine arrived this week, but haven't had the chance to even open it yet. I usually flat roll and vet wrap my extra straps on everything.

Anyone use pants with integrated knee pads?

I have the XKG Preacher pants from Kingscamo with the built in knee pads, and they have become my go to pants to low 30's. I haven't noticed any wear in the knee area, but I'm a leaner about 80%

    Movement

I picked up a pair of Kings Camp Preacher pants (on sale) with the built in knee pads. I hated the way strap on knee pad straps felt and moved around. Don't know these are there until I need them. They have become my go to hunting pants until it gets down to the low 30's.

    TEAM 2 Thread (2023)

The Love of my Life and I have been fighting off what ever has been going around since New Year, and now she has a flair up of her other illness so I have to stay close to home. Our season ends on the 15th so I might get out one or two more times before then, but I'm basically done for this...

    LIVE from the saddle 2023

Thanks but i'm in Missouri and it's all good. It looks bad and drove my OCD crazy at first, but when I draw it all lines up. After the season is over in 2 weeks, I'll head to a different shop and have them give the whole bow a look over.

Thanks for the concern Just measured. Center of D loop to center of peep 5 3/4". D loop twist everything right into place, though these progressive bifocals are more of an issue than peep twist. Replaced string after last season and shoot almost everyday (6 yards in the basement). The position...

    LIVE from the saddle 2023

It's not as high as it looks, Bow was tilted forward resting on a branch. That base of the tree in front of me was 10-15' down slope of the one I was in. Wind never stopped. Didn't even see a squirrel today but I got to use some presents from the Love of my Life (hand muff and arctic shield boot...

    TEAM 2 Thread (2023)

Well my week just took a downward turn. Went to log in this morning and EVERY hunting area is closed. Checked the Post hunting FB page and they are conducting arial hog eradication until at least Wednesday, Thursday or Friday as needed. This p***es me off for 2 reasons 1} the lack of advance...

Thanks - I was kinda hoping it was a slate call though as I'm planning on using the saddle this year and any sound I can make with a mouth call no turkey (or anyone else} wants to hear.

Best option to silence/reduce noise on carabiners??

I used some liquid electrical tape in the bend of my carabiner for my Madrock to ride on. Made sure to keep it away from the gate or hinges. Quited down that annoying little jingle when I moved. Also used it to finish the ends of my pull down rope tied to some S-biners, over the knot and tag...
