Not a new user, but am in the market for a new saddle.
I currently use a modded sit drag and rock climbing harness. I am wanting to get a " one and done" saddle, and need some insite.
I hunt in southern ohio, where the weather during the hunting season can change drastically. I've seen snow...
Since the mesh had a raw edge, it can cause it to start fraying. The grosgrain helps prevent it.
You can also roll the edge, and sew it, like hemming pants.

Does anyone know the type of fleece that hunting packs are made from, like Badlands packs?
I want to make a pack similiar to a Sitka Tool Bucket. I was able to get a molle pack frame, and all the straps to go with it, on the cheap. Now I just need to make the detachable pack part, and I'm all...
What type of sewing foot did you use to sew the grosgrain? That has been the biggest headache with the saddles I've made.

Awesome. I was thinking about the Vortex mono. My local Cabelas has it. With points and gift cards, I shouldn't have to pay anything out of pocket.

Cool. I read somewhere that people were using their rangefinders, in place of their binos. MAY think about that, since I keep mine close.

So, to help reduce the bulk I take into the woods, I was thinking about getting a monocular. Has anyone used one, in a hunting situation? Any cons for this, compared to a set of binos?
Thanks

Thanks for all the info. I think i may buy a Podium soon. I want to see what people post after the season ends or if they go on sale during convention season.

I spent the last year hunting with the Bullman ring of steps. They were okay, but I am wanting something with a little more comfort.
After looking for options, I can spend $160-180.00 and get a Predator or Ridge Runner. For the same price, I can get an XOP Vanish stand. With the stand, I can...
What is the name of the book that shows how to sew webbing for maximum strength?
I have seen it discussed on here before but I am not remembering what it is called.
