Any Southern California old heads ?

Nothing out of the ordinary in comparison to a normal Winter rain. You can not believe anything on the news these days. We did though get a solid 3 inches of rain in one single day. it is unusual to get a rain like this in the month of August. I find it refreshing and a nice break in the...

Any Southern California old heads ?

I am a bit of a newbie wanting to practice with more experienced old heads. regarding the climbing aspects and the crossbow aspects. I bought all the equipment like the Petzl Sequia and Petzl Zigzag, TenPoint Siege. I have been practicing on my own but I think it would be valuable to practice...

Oops ! Dont want this happening to me

This is why I use full Arborist Grade climbing rope and Arborist grade saddle etc. I use a platform, but I don't want to fall to my death from 30 or 40 feet

    Arborist new to SH.

Not if it's brand new and never been used by an actual arborist.

    Why don't yall 2TC?

In a tree like you are describing I would use my climbing rope and girth hitch it with a paracord release to extract it once I got down. I am sure you are girth hitching your tether already. At least I could rapell down, and then use my paracord to release my climbing rope. It makes sense to...

    Why don't yall 2TC?

The inch worming up, and then also inch worming down. As well as the safety aspect of not having to unclip and reclip, and unclip, and reclip.

Sticks vs, Steps vs, Arborist Climbing methods

Agreed, presets. don’t we all at least scout locations before we hunt ? how many of you just walk into a brand new place not scouted ahead of time ?

    Why don't yall 2TC?

The video that I posted used no metal on metal. Very simplified climb.

    Why don't yall 2TC?

It’s the safety aspect that I think is gained. Not falling out of the Ugly Tree and being hit by every branch is what I am hoping to avoid.

Tethrd One Stick Gen 3's - Season review so far

This seems to be the safest method of climbing a tree, in that this is what Arborists that climb every day use and they have safety standards that they have to comply with. This has to also be about the lightest most versatile method as well.
