    Hello from SW Ontario Canada

T Thanks for the welcome. Yes, definitely blessed to have the hunting we do in this area. Although we seem to be losing land way too quickly to development. I'm a little nervous about what it will be like in another decade.

    Hello from SW Ontario Canada

Thanks Steve_Eh. No not yet. I had the money ready to go but unfortunately an unexpected truck repair that was not covered under warranty set me back $1400.00. I know what I want from a nearby supplier ( might even be you) but have to gather some more scratch together before I can pull the trigger.

    Weatherby Vanguard Owners, Your Thoughts?

Couldn't agree more about the optics. Already have a vortex 6-24 x 50 with a graduated MOA reticle lined up to put on this combo when I can finally afford it

    Weatherby Vanguard Owners, Your Thoughts?

It sure does! Thanks for the feedback everyone. I had been hoping to pick up a used rifle for a bit less money but it seems like I might have to go with this one. It did feel really nice in my hands and the action seemed buttery smooth. I figure by the time I outfit it with a decent scope I'll...

    Hello from SW Ontario Canada

Thanks for the welcome everyone. @gettingstarted, I was in your area back in February. My boy had his last hocey tournament of the season in East Gwillimbury. If you ever head west to London let me know, maybe we can meet up for a coffee/beer. @Ckwilli, yes for those of us who enjoy the...

    Weatherby Vanguard Owners, Your Thoughts?

I stopped in at the local gun shop to look at potentials for a new rifle to be used primarily for coyote and at the range. I got to hold a Vanguard .223 and really liked the feel. For those of you who own and use a Vanguard, how do you like it? Would it be money well spent or should I consider...

    Hunting Would you rather question.

It all depends on how much room is in the freezer. I guess it comes from my father, but I will take any legal deer that is a sure thing if the stock pile is low. My dad always viewed hunting and fishing as another way to provide for the family while getting to do something he loved. I found I...

    Hunting Rig

2016 Ram Big Horn 1500 Ecodiesel. It has a backflip hard tonneau so most gear can go in the bed. The properties I have permission for are only a 20 minute drive from my seasonal campsite that has my old 36' bunkhouse trailer parked on it. Once September rolls around, I pretty much live there.

    Hello from SW Ontario Canada

Hello Everyone, new member from South Western Ontario. Looking at getting into saddle hunting this fall. I have already taken advantage of a ton of the information here and want to thank you all for making it available. Hoping to be outfitted and practicing at the end of the month ( unless I...
