Dude I REALY like that singing rock harness! Not to mention 15kn is the same strength as your belay loop. If you ever experience 10kN you'll be wishing you were dead if you don't die. Just saying. But as for having a light weight option if you can get them to put D-Loops on the Centart it...

Red. Just get some upholstery tacks and if you distribute them across the plywood it'll hold everything in place just fine. Might staggar the placement. When i had a tree seat with accesory cord I just used staples like you would for electrical wiring to keep eveything in place. But I imagine...

    Pursskit not failed

This is a good article about joining to ropes. http://www.chockstone.org/TechTips/JoinRopes.htm

Like so but exchange the overhand knot for a triple fisherman or double depending on the cord you are using. This is some sort of variation but I haven't seen it on any of the climbing sites as of yet. Either way it's bad due to the single fisherman knot used.

    lightest climbing sticks..here ya go...

I've tried it and got up on the first only to be too sketched out to get on the second and yes being in good shape helps a lot. I've been doing a lot of rock climbing this year and I wouldn't have been able to pull it off before. Maybe if I had some sort of dynamic rope lanyard would this be...

    Pursskit not failed

I didn't have time to read everything since I’m at work but did a quick scroll through and this is my impression. I see a lot of badly tied prusiks(as well as badly spelled) and a lot of overhand knots. The rope in question looks like the standard Walmart special 300lb working load haul rope...

Man! It's so great to have you with us! I shot the second deer in my life out of a OneHair seat @ 76yards and it was all over for me!

    Freezer went out

Parts haven't really changed much since the 50s so hopefully you can just change out the connector types.

    New guy, old questions

I have the an extra foot loop attached to the biner for my harness and distel hitch. So I hike up the connection for the harness and my left foot at the same time. Then my right foot has the ascender. But you could do it with stirrups and two distel/prusiks.

    Freezer went out

Might just be something as stupid as the thermostat. When my freezer went out the second time it was as simple as replacing the thermostat. $40 part

    Freezer went out

Man I feel you. We bought an igloo chest freezer new and it died less than two years after we bought it. Luckily we keep almost all our frozen veggies and the dog training ducks in there. They kept us from loosing our deer. Now we have a used chest freezer and I'm always paranoid about it going...

Static rope with a distel hitch and a foot ascender. If you're just trying to get 15' or so up you could throw into the tree with the rope its self.

    Anyone tried this

If you want to lighten that up you could just ditch the cleat and use a moring hitch around the step and frame. I did that with a set of stagger steps to get rid of the metal on metal durring setup.

    cleaning ropes and gear

You can wash ropes in mild detergent but you're not supposed to dry then in a dryer. You'll have to hang them and put a fan on them. Just wash them in a pillow case.

Looks like I'm not bow huntung today

I have three big trees by my house and every time I see something like this I think... "Come on trees! Daddy needs a bigger house with a garage and a man cave!"

    Carrying Sticks In

If you are fixing them to the tree via rope and versa button you could just clove hitch your rope around them and use it as a carry strap.
