    Myth: you can't kill them sitting on the couch. you can in fact, you just may have to raise the window first..... or step onto the porch. I see a good many bucks from the couch

    i hunt Mcgraw Ford. its bow only but a good bit further north. In my opinion its not worth the trip. Plenty of deer, just lacking the size.

    just to chime in, 30-06. i like the damage on all things i have ever taken with it. in the words of Rut Daniels "didnt go 20". i have taken deer out to 400 and them drop on impact.

    i have an 870 express and love it, its never failed me and kills whatever i have squeezed it off at. im not a fancy guy and i dont need a fancy gun to do fancy killing. i have more expensive gun but i have also laid those guns down during hunts and picked up the 870 because it wasnt preforming.

    What boots for saddle platforms?

    i have moved from rubber boots to Rocky bear claws or irish setters. for some reason my feet stay warmer in just good leather boots and wool socks. yeah they might smell me but i toot sometimes and im sure that smells worse than the leather boots. i would rather be warm so it stays enjoyable

    Grunt calls

    i like my true talker for most every use. i also have a flextone buck collector plus grunt. it has the nasal grunt that sounds more like a deer but i only grab it when there is a buck that means business and looking for a fight. but i hunt GA and most buck around here dont have deep voices.

    i love mine! came from a mantis and i wont be going back. i can sit half a day sits with no problem. the 2 panels make all the difference to me because i go between leaning and sitting throughout the mornings.

    X2 on them jokers having PhD's. i found big footholds the way to go on their runs in about 12-18 inches of water where they start putting their feet down. good luck catching them.
