Comfort channel to my mantis and adjustable utilibridge

It's whatever came on the mantis. I took it apart. Do I need to go to solid 3/8"? It's a figure eight knot with the end crimped so it can't untie. I figured it's still the same piece supporting the same weight as before.

Mantis Phantom Updates: Tell Me What I'm Missing

Agreed. It's simpler in person. For sure with the ropes. This was more of a proof of concept deal since season is over.

Yea. I had a new one laying around from my previous life as a stand hunter. Lol

Mantis Phantom Updates: Tell Me What I'm Missing

It's one rope, about 8' long. After the prusik on the right side is all the extra rope. That wraps around the tree and attaches to my left side linesman loop using a carabiner and ropeman. I think I got the idea from a modern assassin video on YouTube. When I'm hanging from my teather, the extra...

Mantis Phantom Updates: Tell Me What I'm Missing

I think I'm understanding what you're saying. Wouldn't I then lose the ability to have the klemheist tighten/loosen/slide on the bridge loop which serves as my "comfort channel" adjustment?

Mantis Phantom Updates: Tell Me What I'm Missing

The amsteel is actually tied and was the original mantis bridge. I just reused it. The climbing rope was too bulky for the space in the bridge loop. I'm not really good with knots so this was simple. I do like the idea of a continuous loop.

Mantis Phantom Updates: Tell Me What I'm Missing

On which side? I wanted to be able to slide the amsteel on each bridge loop.

Mantis Phantom Updates: Tell Me What I'm Missing

I'm a big DIY fan and frequent forum lurker. What I did was use a modified klemheist made from the original mantis amsteel on each bridge loop. I can adjust these with one hand and am not limited to channels or certain points. The right klemheist attaches to a prusik giving me an adjustable...

Comfort channel to my mantis and adjustable utilibridge

For mine, I untied the amsteel bridge the mantis came with and cut it in half. Then tied a klemheist to each bridge loop and ran a new bridge to each klemheist loop. The friction from the klemheist on the bridge loops allows for complete adjustment one handed on each side. You're not limited to...
