    How does that pack hold up. I've got one that about 15 years old from academy that's great for layers and small stuff but dont like how flimsy it is with all the heavier gear. On the hunt for something sturdier now.

    I haven't in the way your talking but I did remove the buckle and just use the strap to tie a pretty easy knot at the versa button. @Nutterbuster did a video that explains how. It holds very tight after applying pressure to the stick

    Been thinking about ordering some amsteel but just had an idea. Could the buckle not be removed and the strap be tied the same way you'd tie amsteel? Just a thought.

    May use that as an excuse to get in deep and do some scouting. Yeah the extra help would be nice. I've talked to a Cpl guys that fish the area frequent and have seen a cpl patterns I'm looking forward to checking.

    Ordered a set from Mack's and they charged me $10 for shipping. Said it was bc ups has an upcharge bc of the size of the box. Still under $120. Ordered Wednesday and will have them Monday.
