    Truck build

I worked for a water well drilling company for a while, had one wire rope failure while we were pulling the casing bit out to set casing. I had just finished removing the bit wrench when my boss flung me off the platform and I heard the 1/2" wire rope crack like a whip and flail about the...

Length and width of top of Bullman Platform step?

3/4" across the flat on top, 2.5 total width. 2 5/8" in flat surface from the tree, 3.25 total length. Didn't grab a weight, but it ain't much. For reference I wear a size 12 boot and have no issue using this steps, plenty of room and the angled sides fit nicely between the arch and heel of my...

How did you cook venison today?

I picked up the 22" version, should be big enough for home cooking and small enough to come along on camping trips and to deer camp. Probably too much for inside an ice fishing shack though

How did you cook venison today?

Christened the new blackstone with tenderloin, bacon and some pork burgers on Saturday. Overcooked the steak a touch but still tender and delicious.

    Why don't yall 2TC?

Some ropes don't burn well due to their heat resistance. Good heavy duty heat shrink is my go to end treatment.

    Why don't yall 2TC?

I want a sperate hitch for my foot loop and branch passing connection point because I like to pass branches by getting my main tether and secondary/footloop tether right beneath the branch to pass, which means to keep slack out I need the foot loop and bridge connection point to be spread out...

Who has snorted the Fairy Dust?

I saw a podcast clip where a single bevel user was using front deploying three blades with the hope that it would lodge in the turkey and slow it down. They were also advocating for aiming at the copper part of the wing on quartering away shots, looking to pin the wing down and make it very...

    JRB cinch an 2T/C

Looks interesting. this concept is something I want to explore this off season, I think @Seekbigger better tether attachment method may be what I lean to, but this has merit for sure.

    JRB cinch an 2T/C

Which JRB cinch ae you referring too? The quick evolution of JRB's stuff has left me in the dust on most of it

    Bow sight?

I'll second the IQ pro hunter. It's a highly versatile setup that's good for everything from the whitetail woods to western big game hunts too. I've had no complaints about it's durability after 3 seasons on my bow, and I bought it used. The retina loc is a great bonus feature if you ever...

Who uses a ring of steps?

Bullman platform steps are top notch, I run them with and without a pursuit platform. Both setups are comfy and lightweight.

    Pursuit platforms

those should work just fine too, I purchased the bullman because they sit above the strap not below like treehopper or squirrel steps. I wanted everything to be closer to one level for walking around the tree

    Pursuit platforms

Yeah a couple of the bullman platform steps pair great with it on the ocb

    Pursuit platforms

S-biner through the molle on the back of my saddle and hooked through the front corner of the platform. It swings quite a bit when covering ground but doesn't move much when sneaking and climbing

    Pursuit platforms

by teeth mat do you mean foam knee/back saver pad? supposed to be a dual purpose piece of gear that keeps the teeth from digging in to your back on the walk in and serves as a knee pad also. never ran one, but thought it looked too small for my knees from the pictures I've seen.

    Guilty of baiting?

I hear adding cattle mineral to your compost pile will deter deer.....:sunglasses:

    Why don't yall 2TC?

maybe, I wouldn't tell you to order that length of rope to make a foot tether but since you have it I would try it. If if has a spliced eye you may be just fine, tying a delta link to one end instead of tying an eye in it will save a bunch of rope also.

thin material that dampens sound the best?

I use the fleece dump pouch from EWO for my platform steps and it muffles sound pretty good, I feel like fleece will do a better job of limiting sound than saddle cloth would, but I don't have any real experience with saddle cloth
