How long is everyone making there amsteel ropes?

I make them as long as I need them for the area/trees I am hunting. Some folks ae working with smaller trees and others huge pines/cypress, etc..... Most guys would probably think mine are too short.

I have a pretty large variety of trees from too big to put my summit viper climber on to pretty darn small. I was thinking of making them 9 foot but that might be overkill. I have never hunted with sticks or a saddle yet so I'm not sure if I can even hunt those big trees yet with a saddle setup.

cut out a piece of paracord and then determine what you need.... then use the amsteel

I have been using 1/4" for 4 seasons now. Mine has never locked in behind my versa button and I have never had one move on me. I do go under the rope and then wrap twice before I create slip knot to easily slip it out when taking off. If you don't create some type of slip knot on it, it can be challenging at times to get off
