1 or 2 wraps

I wrap once around the tree and then twice through the loop on the rope. This helps the rope not slide down the tree.
 
One wrap and a castration band to keep it snug.

If I use a 12 foot tether I wrap twice and if I use a 6 foot tether I wrap it around the tree once and twice through the loop.
 
thanks guys.....any more ideas are always welcome, your ideas and my trying them out is how I learn something new.
