2 close kills, same tree

Thought these clips got lost on my last phone, but somehow they ported over and I found them today. Tickles me to watch and see how lazy I've become. When I first started hunting that tree I was packing an xop hand climber and climbing 15-20 feet.

I generally hunt that tree twice a year, and kill something every year for going on 5-6 years. Awesome spot once you get there.

Makes me nostalgic for temps in the 30s. Already in the 90s down here.

I haven't quit climbing completely, but I may. It's just too nice to get to a spot, lean it against a tree, and zone out for a while.

I really kicked the sorryness up another notch by buying some bone conduction headphones. I can download a few good podcasts or audio books and just chill for the whole day if I want to. Ears aren't covered so I can hear 360° around me and it really helps me to sit perfectly still.

Now I just need somebody to show me how to install an iv drip for coffee and a catheter to transcend the limits of my frail body completely!

I’m in same boat. Haven’t quit completely but it’s probably gonna be the case. The pac seat is too convenient and light to want to do anything else.

Aftershokz aeropex. I wanna say they were around $150. Bought them mid January and have been using them pretty much every day. No complaints. I usually don't remember I'm wearing them until I go to shower in the evening. Luckily they're waterproof

I fear that this may be me after Father's day when I get to open my pacseat up. Still plan on wearing my saddle in and carrying 2TC gear in my cargo pocket, but I wonder how long it will be until I feel like the 4oz of tethers is 'just too heavy' to be lugging around.

Close. About a 45 minute drive to the line in Alabama.

Those spots are few and far between. I had a spot on my best friend grandmother's property that I would hunt year after year. It only yielded a harvest about every 2-3 years. She used to always tell me you need to be a little farther over. Finally one day I listened to her and moved about 50yds over. After that, rarely a year went by I didn't harvest deer there. It always amazed me how such a small move could modify the results so dramatically.
